    tryed the cling film thing...didnt work. but iv got most of the main paint off, just the sides and the undercoat stuff that im going to have to take off because iv gone too deep in other places. i was thinking of using a laquer to fill the slight dents and then sanding it flat so i have a perfectly flat surface for putting the sealer on and then the paint..will this work?

    apparently EMG singles are quite low noise. dave gilmore used them live because they cut out the interference from the lighting rigs, but they stopped the hollow stratty feel.

    yer thats what i like. im generally using metal distortion so differenced in woods are very hard to hear apart from some bring out more treble or more bass...but i like a good solid mix of them so i use basswood anyway about the dent thing...i think it depends how its painted coz i have a basswood LTD that after a year was coverd in dents. i also have a basswood ibanez and iv only had it since Xmas but its stilla flawless finish...despite wacking it on my amp a few times. but iv never put that guitar in a gig bag..only a hardshell case :/

    i like basswood because i like the crunchyness, and the good balence between sustain, brightness and warmth. but it does dent really easy....simple answer is use a harshell case.

    hmm what if you moved the waist back slightly used a curved fender style horn and make the back look a normal guitar thats been bitten by a shark...or something like that. just an idea lol :/

    it looks kinda like one of those jacksons. but theres something slightly wrong with it. but the last draft did look kinda okay. its all up to personal preference i guess...some people like the look of BC riches...

    ha i couldnt think of a name for my guitar im customising so i just flicked through my japanise revision notes and found a cool sounding name im going with kurai and then custom underneath so yer if you want a cool name just find a dictionary of your fave language and find a cool sounding word in that.

    you would think sandpaper is the cheap option but iv completely worn a whole packet of palm sander paper and iv only just got through the main coat on the front..i havnt even removed the undercoat stuff. so atm im having to spend all my pocket money on sandpaper :/

    hmm is it like my body im stripping the paint off looks really dull and grey and scratched...but when it gets wet it goes almost perfect?

    for the wireless system it would probs be best to have the ariel come out of the guitar. and those you could rip out a sterio if they are the right values.. otherwise i dunno.. try an electrical retailer like www.maplins.com

    just standard stuff..it was suppost to work on car paint though :/ iv managed to clear the main paint off the front..but iv gone through a whole packet of sandpaper and severly damaged the palm sander :/ tomorrow i will look into that other paintstripper.

    what about a twin neck, guitar and bass on one i know its been done before but it would be cool to make one.

    my one aint tone dead.. it has brillient tone. when i chose it i was actully looking at getting an amp...i was just given that guitar to try out this marshall..i switched it on and it has such a sweet tone and sooo much sustain it was brillient!

    how can i wire an active pickup and a passive pickup together on the same guitar? iv heard it can be done but you have to do something weird and it costs loads :/
