  1. I dont know, I wouldnt mess with a router like that, unless i got one of the neighbourhood kids to "test" it out first. and I think that if they havnt done it alreday, there must be a reason. a friend of mine had a 2 speed router, im not sure if the second speed is faster or slower tho. probley slower.
  2. hey, that would be pritty sweet.
  3. whats the prices on the pots and wireing and all that.
  4. Im intrested to see how this turns out. Keep us updated! and good luck with it all and primal why oh why did you get rid of the Jaco picture! i loved that pic.
  5. Pictures and prise? cause Just today I called up the good folks at gobo walnut and am getting a quote from them as well. thanks
  6. Oh, no thier on the main site. Just go to project guitar, and its in the menu to the left. Very useful stuff. g'day steve.
  7. ive got this broken ibanez phat head overdrive bass pedal. Its not broken beyond repair, I dont even know whats wrong with it. I suspect that its somthing with the input jack not giving the signal for some battry juice when you plug up, or somthing equally as simple, but im not an electronics wiz. Somone out there may want to try and fix it, or strip it, mabey use the casing (which is in perfict condition) to make some stomp box or somthing. i dont know what to sell it for, whatever price you think is fair. I got it for 70 bucks but im sure the whole not working thing may knock off a good bit.
  8. Well, most people glue up then cut. Less chance of error. infact ive only heard of one person cutting then glueing. there are tons of tourtials of people using tops, you should try seeing what order they do things in.
  9. yah.. i looked at it for a little while.. but I couldnt figure out why you would want to do that. Not to mention freting and fret dressing will be a pain in the arse. and also, you sound a tad hostile. dont be, were trying to help you.
  10. welcome first let me tell you this, lay off the weed when building.. its makes things a tad messy, and dangerous (nearly sanded my knuckle off earyler today) and the best place to start is in the main sites tourtial section. Read every one of them twice, then if your still intreasted, buy Melvyn hiscocks book and read that 3 times. Then you will know how to get started and remeber, the first step is always the plan.
  11. wow, i really like that! its traditional, but very original at the same time. kudos to you
  12. i like it!, however i think that the neck is just a tad bit crooked ( altho it may just be my eyes) ps, whats your coustome fretboard radius idea?
  13. thanks. and im assuming its the same for bass
  14. well, that didnt work.. im new to this aswell.. this link should probley work http://www.savepic.com/freepicturehosting/...mg=guitar_1.jpg

  16. I need eaither 8/4 15" x 22" or 8/4 8" x 44" (and do a laminate)
  17. Ive been looking for a long time for some good walnut, but i cant get any in the right dimensions. its quite aggravating.
  18. It sounds like it will look great, Im always excited about new guiar projects 'round here. that body design is KILLER really, i think it looks great. and with a super carve that would be pritty slammin. keep us updated, and have you thought of doing a tourtial of your work?
  19. I do like the design, the way it looks anyways. But its not quite practical. The inpractacially isnt in playing it, but its in building it. So if you can overcome that it shows true talent. hencefourth you would have my vote.
  20. I like hte way it looks, but think of how you are going to make the cuts in the legs, thier is no way you can get a bandsaw to do that on your second build, if you were much more experienced maybe. But you would be likley to break a blade trying to back track. I think you should try the carving idea, use a router to get most of it out and then clean up with chisel. but it really dosnt look very safe at that pickup area and lower fret acess is nill. but if you can pull it off, you have my vote for guitar of the month good luck
  21. ooh thanks a bunch. you guys saved me a good bit of money yah, myka, your carver is the one that I saw in your les paul tourtial and it looks great (guitar and carver)
