  1. i prefer to keep them for my own use(the ladies),but to each his own. p.s.(it's the pink guitar isn't it?chicks dig pink.dammit i gotta get a pink guitar)
  2. yeah but give me all three and i'll love you forever
  3. great minds think alike(but i'm better looking)
  4. i chose 3 but to be fair i ordered an esp case over 6 months ago and it still hasn't come in.i think that's excessive.they claim computer problems.
  5. that's why i can't find my 7th fret!
  6. you could paint the back of your pickgaurd pink, then sheild it,giving the illusion of a solid guitar top under your pickgaurd.
  7. finally found out what my sabre is: here it is
  8. yeah when you buy a dremel it usually comes with a few attachments and one of them looks like a 1/8" drill bit but is actually a rotary cutting attachment(like a rotozip).supposedly this will cut it fast enough to not melt it but i have never done it so there you go.a plexiglass guitar might be kind of cool though if you could find it that thick.maybe a hollowed out wood core with plexi front and back?what does b.c.rich use?
  9. i believe pg stands for pickgaurd not paul gilbert.(i made the same mistake when i first read it.
  10. get a cutting bit for your dremel.i've seen em do it on t.v. on an infomercial
  11. yeah alex i'm not real concerned about the trem on this one.my main priority was a neck thru.i have never owned a neck thru and i always wanted one.i just can't reach those upper frets properly with a heel joint in the way.eventually i want to get the esp hanneman but it will be a while before i can afford that kind of money.this one should keep me busy till then.
  12. yeah alex it does have the trs but i am not familiar with that trem.if i don't like it i'm sure i can fit in an edge 2 right?i have the lo pro in my sabre and even though i don't use it all the time i am in the process of learning slayer leads and i do bomb quite a bit.i figure at that price i can upgrade the hardware if i need to.
  13. red pearl.and $300 is what i paid.
  14. hey guys what is a great sounding proffesional preamp.i am looking for killer gain(old metallica style)with a full lead sound and great tone.i am thinking of just going to a rack system as i am tired of the limited tones i get with my stack.i have tried randall, marshall, crate, mesa boogie, and more(heads i mean)and i just can't get what i'm looking for.maybe if i run a processor through my marshall?i am an old style metal guitarist and i am just not familiar with the sound aspect.
  15. i think an important thing to remember is that tone is subjective.rather than taking away the tone i believe it would just be a different tone.i do think it would tend to dampen the resonance though.as far as sustain the claim is that a set neck increases sustain over a bolt on and a thru neck is in effect a three piece lamination so i don't see why it wouldnt sustain well.but i wouldnt buy it.i think it looks cheap.

    rgt

hey i just ordered an ibanez rgt 42 from guitar trader.they have them on sale right now.i'll let you know how it is when i get it.i'm excited as ibanez is fairly new to the thru neck design.finally a neck thru i can afford!i'm sure i'll have to replace the stock pickups though.
  17. looks like a plywood body except sideways.
  18. god yes!you must have the bridge at the proper distance or it will not intonate.how to explain?every guitar has a mathematical formula which dictates how far apart each fret must be in order for each note to be of proper pitch.if your scale(distance from bridge to nut)does not match your fret spacing your guitar will not play at the same pitches as other guitars. heres what you do.measure from the nut to the 12th fret and double that number(exactly)that's how far your bridge should be from the nut.in other words if it is 12 3/4 of an inch to the 12th fret then your scale is twice that(25 1/2)and that's where your bridge should be.but there is a such thing as compensation which i don't fully understand and which you should BEFORE drilling those holes.
  19. alder is excellent to handle dropped tunings without getting mushy.personally my back can't handle a solid maple guitar anymore.oh and check with an ibanez dealer on the trem, the website says they are available.
  20. well you are actually getting the pickgaurd for free as the pickups are a package deal so no loss really.i bought the kirk hammett package just cause it was cheaper and took all the electronics off of it to install in my sabre.nice pickgaurd though and i will probably use it on something eventually.
  21. li'ke'i'sa'id im n'o sp'el'ler p.s.you know what the funny thing is?i thought i misspelled proffesor
