    taking out a tone is not that hard. Just pretend it wasn't there, meaning the wires would just connect to the place they are going with out connecting to the tone pot first.

    I just wipe my strings down with a clean cloth, and try not to play if I didn't wash my hands. Right now I am just looking for the best strings that work for me. I play stuff like System of a down, Tool, Rammstein, if any one would reccomond any strings. But some times, old strings do give you an interesting sound. But I love the feel of new strings.

    not sure if that is a good or band thing, but I find the hardcore design just innovative and i am guessing that it is not easy to make that design.

    I seriously think that is the coolest thing that I have ever seen. That type of guitar just inspires me to go out and try to make one that looks like that.

    I find nothing wrong with trying to learn scales by heart. It does take work and I am not saying learn everysingle one. But if you just go through and practice different scales it will increase your speed, theory, freestyling, and just in general make you a better player.

    that makes more sense, now I have to figure out which wood is used for more of a Rock sound.

    I think i am figuring it out with out the diagram, another question, becuase the there is one switch for each pickup, would anything happen if i turned both of them on and can i still do some Tom Morello style playing wheer he switchs the pick up on and off with one volume knob all the way up and the other all the way down?

    I am still trying to figure this out. How does the wood effect the sound that is coming becuase the strings are being picked up through the pickups. wouldn't what type of strings and pickups affect the sound, and not the wood. I am just confused

    Another thing, I do not want to have a switch, but have two switchs that will either have the pickup on or off. How would I wire that?

    I plan to keep these same pickups in this guitar, but when you choose the pickguard they have different shapes, i was wondering which one is the best shape for EMG 81/85

    Thanks BLS, what what I do with out you, never knew warmoth does custom pickguards. Only thing is they havea 25.00 dollar min. purchase and the one i want is 20.00 dollars. But which Humbucker should i get, they have so many, I have EMG-85 and EMG-81.

    So I will only need one battery plug in for two pickups? Also, from the red wire pickup why is there another wire under it, where does that go?
