  7. I am working on my project les paul, and i was thinking about what finish to put on it when I remembered that i once read that les pauls are harder to reach the upper frets on. I thought about doing a contoured heel that is available on the warmoth bodies. Does anyone have other ideas? Thanks in advance
  8. Would this process work on the Les Paul kit here: http://torresengineering.com/comlespaulty.html
  9. Does anyone know how to get the Les Paul VooDoo "JuJu" Finish? i saw a very highly magnified picture of it, and there is a little bit of red in the grain. Thanks to anyone who replys.

  11. I meant the body. or did you mean the body? I dunno, that would be interesting. Inlay on the body. hmmm...
  12. I recently got a Les Paul body off of eBay, and I don't know what color, or design to paint on it. If anyone has any original ideas, (cause I don't want to copy anyone famous or anything.) i would be most appreciative.
  13. Another Question. If the bridge is munted lower or higher, will it change anything?
  14. I have a Squier Strat, and i have been wanting a T.O.M. bridge for a while. Does anybody have a good way to do this? It also needs to be a way as to not screw up my current finish.
  15. (the following is a contradiction to my user name) Does anyone have any tips, or refrences for learning how to do speed poicking?
  16. in addition to my reply, you have to double the distance from the nut to the 12th fret. then the high e saddle, and the D saddle will equal the scale length.
  17. to make the edges around where the drill bit go in, put some tape over, and then drill. for the point where the bit comes out, put a piece of scrap wood under where the hole will be and that should prevent the wood from having a messy edge.
  18. you could put them in now and put some tape around them while painting.
  19. one word, no, anything else would be harder than using a router or finding someone with a router to use
  20. 1. no, you do not need the templates to sand. 2. it would probably be best to just use regular sandpaper. for 2 reasons a. you can get to hard to reach areas easier. b. you'll respect it more if you have to put more work in to it.
  21. Thanks Maiden. Could regular candle wax work instead of paraffin wax?
  22. I posted earlier about taking off a pickup cover, and i took it off. I put it back in my guitar and i am experiencing some microphonic feedback. I have read on other pages about how you can fix this by dipping the pickup in wax. Does anyone know how to do this?
  23. I bought a Squier last summer, and I had some pickups laying around from other guitars, and i bought some sheet plastic from my local harware store, and made a new pickguard, and i used to have a fender strat that the body got really burnt up in a small fire at my dad's so i used that neck, so it turned out to be a pretty nice guitar that only cost me about 15 bucks for the plastic.
  24. you could probably get a new one from warmoth.com. they make a quality neck.
