    Hey, Im ordering my fingerboard this month, finaly, and Im trying to get a look of black with red grain, like the body of a Gibson Voodoo guitar. I want to have a fast playing neck. I was thinking the best way to do this is a tinted red gain filler on a maccasar ebony fingerboard. Do you think this would work? would it look better withg a clear coat over the top again? Do you think it would effect the fingerboard in terms of playability i.e. speed, tone etc. Thanks

    Jaw dropping. I love Sgs and thats one of the nicest ive ever seen. Ive got one small problome I dont like the rosewood headstock but thats just a bit of personal taste. Les Paul would be proud of that SG.

    Remeinds of the switching idea I have for my first build. Ive been wanting to start for months but theres no guitar parts or good lumber stores in Ireland. I cant afford to get everything in america and ship it over and at the moment Im still in school. Sorry little off topic there but check out this switching Im designing it for a hsh but you could probably change it for 1 hum 2 singles http://projectguitar.ibforums.com/index.ph...1&st=&p=entry EDIT: the design has changed a bit from this.

    Had a look at the fingerboard in the classified its not for me. I'm looking for a 24 3/4" preslotted ebony or macassar ebony not quite sure, not radiused yet. I want to inlay it with would so I think it would ber easier not radiused first. Feylya where do you get your wood and hardware? Anywhere you know of over here? Where are you based?

    Hi I know there already a few threads on shops in the uk but I was just wondering if antone knew of any european shops that sell preslotted fingerboards. Shipping is pretty expensive from the US to Ireland. Thanks

    Thanks for the response. Yeah it sounds like I should go with the 1 3/4" body and maybe just chamfer the edges more. I could recess it then on the 1 3/4" body and get lower action without and angled neck.I dont like the idea of just sticking the backplate on top of the guitar.

    Its like this is all a dream and I want to wake up but I can't. It seems so real yet theres a feeling that lies inside of me like I dont want to believe it. His style of playong and living was so influencial. Live for the fun in life, party all night and have a great time doing it. The guy who shot him sould have been kept alive and ended up like the guy in metallica's one. Just having to sit there in living hell than die and go to hell for real. RIP Dimebag. We miss you. (Sorry if Im being a bit strong just let me know if you need me to edit it Im just in such a bad mood right now)

    Hi, I was just wondering how thick a body needs to be to install a recessed floyd rose? Im trying to go as thin as an 1 1/2" or 1 3/4" but Im worried that it won't fit. Thanks

    Love the tie dye, I normaly dont like guitars with monkey grips but this one looks pretty nice.

    IRELAND, were an island off mainland europe beside the uk. Most of you probably have heard of it but we never have sections on most guitar sites, its normaly Engish or european sites we go through (i.e. ibanez redirect us to there uk frame) which kinda sucks that people dont recognise us. Even though most americans claim to have an Irish background, and most of our people built america.

    I think a tutorial would be great on how to build the head. Ive thought of making an amp while waiting to get money for the guitar Im building first. Unfortunatily the list keeps going as everyone knows once you start building your hooked. Im sure lots of people would get use from the tutorial.

    Hey just wondering how thin you can go when make an aanj bolt on before making it too thin? I like the accesibility of an SG and I want to put this thin area on a bolt on jaguar. That mean sit is going to be about 1 1/2" at the joint including the neck itself. Any thought of on how thin you can go?
