  1. i think your trying to go for comfort too much, like tommy said you dont have to make it comfortable, its a concept gutiar, what i think you should do is just make a guitar out of the spiderman logo, seriously, your trying to make it too practical and with a practical and concept guitar, it wont work.
  2. so could i put the veneer on and then turn the guitar over and fill it with epoxy and let that dry, then just go along like normal? or would i have to put a veneer on botto too?
  3. wowwwwey! that seems so swell im shaking in my boots, beaver! ya, anyways, since you tried it out, that wold mean you know what to put under it, ive never used sanding sealer, is that the stuff you use? if not what do u use?
  4. it doesnt seam feesable because it will be impossible to create a guitar with those thin points, etc. and still be able to use it without getting tired of it, and the spider wouldnt be like a guitar, the batman thing is actually like a guitar, but yours is just a little radical, but hey, like jabsco said, if you can pull it off, its got my vote (unless of course my gutiars in that month)
  5. yes it is, but it still works great on wood, check out litch's pics of the wood he sprayed metalcast on in this thread
  6. anyone want them? this is what i got left: bridge: 25 including shipping neck: 35 including shipping ring: 25 including shipping
  7. its an old 80's bass that was an off brand from some company in st. louis called series10 lol, thanks for welcoming me!
  8. what i would do is paint the black then put the crimsom red in a dropper of some sort and drop the crimsom red around the edge
  9. yeah sad to say but this body is made out of plywood i just found that out yestarday
  10. Did you mean somthing like this? (I'm not really in to the asymmetrical thing) ya thats what i meant
  11. hi i was recently stripping a guitar with sand paper and i got down to the bare wood and a black streak appeared, i tried pretty hard to sand it off, but it wouldnt go away, do you have any suggestions? pic
  12. shreddy, your last post is getting better, but make the points from the wings (where they point in) point down more, not the actual V points, but the points that are supposed to look like where the bas bones would go, point them down more
  13. what i am doing is actually making the area smooth for the veneer that im already putting on top, is it necessary to fill all the whole before i veneer it?
  14. thanks brian, also where would i be able to find that stuff? and should i still use the veneer underneath? Ed, its not painted, no lacquer
  15. im in the usa how much do you want for shipping? I'll most likely use a money order if thats ok? what is your email address so i can send you my shipping info, your PM box is full. and can i get a pic of the neck also?
  16. soon i am converting a four knob 1 switch body into a 1 knob no switch body. Is there any suggestions on how to fill the other 3 holes and the switch hole and what to fill them with? here is what i was planning on doing: first decide which hole im keeping put a cheap veneer over the other three and the switch hole from inside the control cavity fill the remaining holes from the top of the guitar with putty sand it smooth Would this work? i'm pretty sure it would im just not sure if a veneer is the right way to go or what, also, i know that there is a special coating of sheild paint or something that goes on it, would putting a veneer on top of that do anything to it?
  17. well since its a concept guitar, it wouldnt really matter "how it would feel" although it does count, most people playing guitars like these dont usually practice on them, and the only time most people play sitting down (unless they are into acoustic and soft stuff) is when they are practicing, and a spiderman guitar usually doesnt go with acoustic/soft rock, so when your playing it you are most likely going to be standing up, which is when comfort isnt AS big of an issue as sitting down.
  18. well i was going to say, if you didnt want to sell the guitar parts individually i would just get the neck for 30, but if you didnt care then i was going to say 40 for both, since i dont want a tele bridge, how bout the neck for 30? thanks thats what i thought but i wasnt sure and i didnt want to make a fool out of myself by saying it was harry truman when it turned out to be bill clinton lol
  19. lol, im leviathan all the way!! lol, nah its a cool design though ive just never played it so i dunno, i voted for SG
  20. the right and left dont match, also, you should make the legs to where the joints keep protruding out, so it would be more like the legs are coming out of only 2 joints instead of 8, i dunno if you get my drift though, like the base of the legs keeps on moving out as you go to the different legs, you should make it go IN if anything. check it out:
  21. i think a good thing to keep in mind is wait a good amount of time before masking off recently painted wood.
  22. I'll give you 30 for the guitar neck and 40 for the neck and the bridge
  23. look dude, he's just trying to sell some crap, he doesnt care if you were thinking about buying them, with the way your acting your making adults think that we teenagers shouldnt be taken seriously, he's right, grow up.
  24. the only things left for sale are the neck and the bridge, and also, if anyone wants a sterling silver men's ring with cubic zerconia in it with a few small scratches, make me an offer
