  1. would this be possible: to have a green base coat in the metalcast, then a blue burst in the metal cast, then a black burst behind that in an opaque color then clear coat? if so what type of paint do you reccomend with the black opaque. is this the order i should do it in: sanding sealer green base coat in metal cast blue burst black burst clear coat polish, etc.? litch, is that the metalcast green in this picture? or is it the blue, if its the blue, do you have any sample pics for the green?
  2. That is an extremely nice looking guitar man, great color also, i love the way you incorporated 3 very different style guitars into one without screwing it up, good work! i see in one of the pictures in your album there is a 3-D version of the guitar, what did you use to make it 3D?
  3. i checked certainly wood and couldnt find any quilted maple, but thanks for the link, i might need that in the future.
  4. so is this more like it? or would i have to take the black out of it?
  5. i looked at universal jems, but he doesnt have the type of wood im looking for, i will check the supply page though, thanks for the reminde, i forgot all about it
  6. you dont have to create a new post to correct your typos, just hit edit in the top right hand side of your post
  7. ive done a search and nothing has come up, but then again i might be searching for the wrong thing, thanks : i need to find a quilted maple veneer or something similar, can anybody give me any suggestions to where to find it, ive looked on ebay and all i can find on there is veneers in bulk for like 40 bucks, and i dont need bulk veneers, i just need a couple peices, again, any suggestions will be appreciated.
  8. just wondering, but whats the difference between that and this? other than mine has a green between the blue and black
  9. ok, do you mean yellow within the blueish thing, or yellow instead of the blueish thing?
  10. i have taken that into account, i am going to reshape the neck joint and cavity. What do you mean intact, do you mean not ruined, taken apart, given away? currently, it is taken apart and is in the process of being sanded down to the bare wood.
  11. yellow would screw up the look of the guitar... wouldnt it?
  12. im pretty sure this would work, but with the black im not sure if you will accept this as a carriburst this
  13. i only need a couple of peices (enough to cover a guitar or 2) of quilted maple veneer as long as its for a good price ill most likely buy it, so anyone with quilted maple, either PM me or post it here, or even email me at glemerikai@hotmail.com im even cool with trading it, ive got a few bass parts i dont need like pickups and such, so tell me what you want, and i might be able to work out a deal w/ u.
  14. if its ONLY on guitar how can it be on piano also? i guess im semi-talented i havent been playing for that long, only about a year, but im more interested in what makes them work and taking them apart and stuff.
  15. because i dont play bass... im trading the neck that was originally on the bass lol
  16. ive never heard of a series10 either, when i started playing guitar, my fathers buddy hooked me up with a bass to sell or learn to play, im doing neither, im selling all the items that can only be used for a bass, and filling the cavities in the body that are only for bass and re-routing a bridge pickup cavity, and one knob and a jack, and getting a 6 string bridge and neck, pretty stupid i know, but im not trying to make a good guitar (which it wuite possibly might be), im just trying to keep myself busy. that would be really funny if i wanted a scratched up series10 with a crack in the headstock
  17. Wanted: A six string electric guitar neck im wanting to trade an electric guitar neck for a Series10 bass neck, i dont know anything about the series10, other than its a 4 string 23-fret bass neck with a rose wood fretboard and the inside of the 23rd fret measures 25" from the nut and the head stock says series10 on it. A few scratches in the fingerboard, one major crack and paint chip is on the right side of the head stock, tuners and nut included, anyone interested with a six string rigt-handed guitar neck with tuners and truss rod, any fret-count, any scale, ANY NECK AT ALL!!! for pictures of series10 neck, click here
  18. oops, i meant to ask this before, and i went to edit it, but someone already answered and i was afraid it would be ignored, also does the back have to be carribursted? sorry!
  19. im assuming the headstock doesnt have to be carribursted??
  20. i dont have any that i completely made, but what i would do with them is keep enough until ive got one for every tuning i use at all (for gigs) and then after that, put them on the wall or sell them if i need money
  21. that is a beautiful lookin guitar already, no matter how you finish it it will look great, kind of an off topic question, but since im at it in your headstock logo tutorial you made "jellycaster" cuz it was the most common incorrect pronunciation of ur name, what is the correct way to say it, just wondering
  22. left handed guitars have come a looooong way since the old hendrix switcheroo technique! i love the body, the pickgaurd goes great with it, post picks when you get finsihed with it, i definitely want to see it!!
  23. i didnt want to start a new thread for this: BTW: Where is the best place to buy a veneer? I just need the standard extra thing veneer, not the 1/4 in. stuff on stew mac for 80+ bucks. I'm wanting to get a quilted maple veneer for this old bass my dads pal gave to me.
