  1. Well... Get the guitar.... and write her a song.. lol, then work some more and buy her a ring.... lol that way if she bitches, you plug ur PRS in and blast the amp so you can hear her anymore
  2. Personally I would take either the Crate, Randall, or Line 6
  3. LOL, Well I play Crates, and Randalls. They give me NICE distortion and Solid smooth tone. But the last Crate I bought from Musicians Friend, (mx120r) came with a cracked corner, its still solid, and im not gunna send it back, just cause UPS will probably **** this one up too. But, man I hope you get your marshall fixed, I dont like to see anyone not being able to play there ****. Even if it is a Marshall.. LOL LATER - SCOTT
  4. I wont ever have this problem cause I would never buy a Marshall Dont take offense to that
  5. I have a dean 88 that i sand a while back, and its from the late 80's. and im pretty sure it was enamel because it was cracked to ****, and then it was a bitch to sand, i went through so many sanding disc's because it would clog, and the aircompressor wouldnt unclog them... That was an expierience I would much rather NOT forgot.... Incase I want to buy another guitar from the 80's and refinish it... I would rather be playing the guitar than sanding it LOL... It took me about... 8-10 hours to sand it... with a CRAFTSMAN POWERSANDER LOL. Also because i had to sand the horns by hand.... but there the paint was thinner than on the rest of the body, but i guess it will look good when im done... Its gunna be metal flake red, with black ghost flames (kick ass). -scott
  6. Well im just gunna send the amp back to musicians friend for a new one, it has that busted corner anyways.. Hopefully when I get the new one it wont do it.... -Scott
  7. Wes.... Are you really "the man"?
  8. Well.. Its not grounded to the bridge... but... the crate. I got it from musicians friend about 2 weeks ago an it came with... like a broken corner, but i just let it go.... and ive sat on it with my pyrimid belt so i scratched the little metal thing holding the handle on... but... it doesnt buzz.. its feedback.... only when its on this certain distortion... I use the AMPS distortion, and i get the feedback when im on the distortion when the. GAIN and the CLEAN switches are on together, its like a metal distortion, but if they are on sepately its fine.... the broken corner is UNDER the leather... i have a picture... Link to picture of the corner
  9. Dude, KrazyDerek, if thats you in the avatar, you look EXACTLY like my friend nick lol...-scott

When im at band practice when i crank it up i am about 15 feet way,and I get feedback, Not the loud SKREECH but the.... humming its so loud that the drummer snare rattles lol... and EMG is supposed to have the quietest pickups, and it only a couple months old and i bought it brand new... ***.. - Scott
  13. There I was completely wasting, out of work and down All inside it’s so frustrating as I drift from town to town Feel as though nobody cares if I live or die So I might as well begin to put some action in my life' Breaking the law, breaking the law Breaking the law, breaking the law So much for the golden future, I can’t even start I’ve had every promise broken, there’s anger in my heart You don’t know what it’s like, you don’t have a clue If you did you’d find yourselves doing the same thing too Breaking the law, breaking the law Breaking the law, breaking the law You don’t know what it’s like Breaking the law, breaking the law Breaking the law, breaking the law LOL - Scott
  14. Actually.. I dont think your going to be able to get the factory finish off with a chemical, they are a VERY tough epoxy paint... What I use for guitars that have been refinished, and had SOME luck with factory finished guitars, is this stuff called READY STRIP- PREMIUM STRIPPER , its in an aluminum and orange aerosol can... U can get it at Wal-Mart for 3 bucks, and its some powerful stuff. its by the stains and wood fillers.. It doesnt smell too bad (DONT SMELL IT) and its VERY powerful, but wear gloves it WILL burn you.... Hope it helps... I would recomend spending 39.99 at sears and getting a good orbital sander. I have one that works great... You may think you will only need it once, but it comes in handy -Scott
  15. Hey there, If your SG has the factory finish on it, i dont think your going to be able to "strip" the paint off with a chemical. Ive known this from expirience. What Ive done personally is just sand all of it off. Using an orbital sander, use a 60 grit to start off with to get down to where u can see wood grain, but its still colored. Then go to a higher grit like a 100-120, get whats left, an then try a 220 to smoothen it out, and then do go over it with a 340, then a 600, then 1500, and then 2000 before you prime it (for the sanding 600+ spend about 5 minutes on the back, front, and sides & horns per grit.) Before the primer whipe it down with a tack cloth. If you want just 2 colors you could do a splatter effect, when you paint it one color, and then take a paint brush or something, and just splatter paint all over it... Ive done it. With me it was White with red splatter (Looked like blood hehehe) - Scott IM me if you have AOL or AIM - my s/n is IM not ON weed
  16. I talk to LGM all the time and hes said it would never look the same. and its about the size of a dime right on the front it looks tacky as hell - scott
  17. I had my ibanez RG painted in January... It was only 90$ to have it done and its an awsome color, but the thing is, the other day a fellow band member shoved it in his car and but a huge chip on the front of the guitar, and i dont want to cover it up... I was wonder what you all think about just leaving it or sanding it and then having it natural, and if i should stain it or not. I want your guys' opinions so please reply- Scott
  18. I have a guitar, that i am going to spray.. I have the equipment at my disposal, i just dont know where to get the paint, and I want to get it in a metallic.... I want a red metallic to paint it and the headstock.... Just wondering where i could get a quart of paint, and how much it would be... thanks -scott
  19. I am in the process of painting a guitar body. i have primed it. sprayed it. and added 8 coats of laquer. Sound good? Now I need to know how to get rid of orange peel, and then how to get it to a glossy finish ( like a good paint job, lol). The products to use would be greatly apprecciated... Thanks- Scott
  20. I am looking for some advise on how to repair this crack. I know how to fill it in with putty... I need something that will prevent this from cracking more than it already is. Also if this helps, The finish around the crack is gone, and it feels hollow around the crack. Thanks-Scott Picture
  21. I have Dean 88 that I am customizing. I feel I will do some different inlays on it. I dont like dots. I think the fretboard is ebony, but im not sure. When I bought this guitar the fretboard was grimy. It took me... about an hour to get all the nastyness off. Its a black wood fretboad, which makes me want to think that its ebony. It has this... Finish on it also. Its smooth, and you can see the woodgrain through it when you turn it in light. I dont know if I should take it off, Or leave it on. http://us.f1.yahoofs.com/users/91ada91/bc/...cP19f.ARNxu3EB3 Thats a picture. (if it worked). Thanks-scott
  22. I am going to paint it. I am good at that stuff... I was thinking about a Very Bright metal flake Green. Have you ever seen Alien Ware computers? Well they have a color like I want. If I have done this right, a picture of a computer with that Color on it will show up .. Its a great color,,, I think... I was also wonder, Since Ive just recently started spraying on wood (most expierience with metal) surfaces that ive getting Orange Peel... I was wondering how to get rid of this orange peel, and still have a Glossy finish.. -Thanks Scott
  23. Hey all, I am redoing a Dean - Eighty Eight. I have a passion for making things custom, or just to modify. I am getting rid of the Floyd Rose, and Putting in a string through body hardtail bridge. This body isnt routed like a normal floyd rose guitar, it does NOT have the ressessed cavity for the floyd rose to sit in, its just a hole for the T to go into, then it just sits on the body, so its not a big hole (this is in the front of the body). I was first thinking about just leaving the cavity in the BACK of the guitar where the T goes to string the bridge, and then filling the rest of the cavity were the 2 screws and the springs are for the floyd, or any trem for that matter. I was wondering if there would be a way, that I could have it, to where I can Fill that ENTIRE cavity with a couple pieces of wood and putty, and still be able to used the Eyelits like in a regular string thru body guitar. I dont know if I made any sence at all to you, but if it did, give me a reply. **Guitar is being re-finished too** Thanks guys- Scott
