  1. Ya can't use speedloaders on Hardtail bridges though cat! IF he were to use a trem on the beast, Yeah, It would Kill!
  2. Thanx StringKilla, I always wondered what loosened it anyway and Now I know. Morse Tapers don't need a set screw though do they? If it were a straight shaft It may work. I'm going with the Emery cloth polish and Light Oil then pressing it back on with Pressure. I'm not gonna use the hammer though. What gives with the router bit collar? I'm not understanding this.
  3. I was cruzin the web yesterday and thought of you matt. PointyGuitars.com have a submission section and this was the one that brought to mind your new design.
  4. LocTite, the red liquid that seals threads? That may be an idea worth invesitagting but I used a leather mallet the first time as per instructions and it lasted for a long time, however, with time it started dropping off. I can't find my manual at the moment but I think it had a section about maintenance that mentioned what to do if this does happen. And I hear ya on the hammer!
  5. Thanx Brian & Dman, I knocked it back on the last few times and let it set because of being frustrated with it. I'm a little leary of using Cyano on it tho Dman. I'm gonna try the Polish and Oil method wednesday when I'm off work to start my next project. Again Thanks Alot Guys.
  6. Is there aremedy for a loose Chuck that falls down from the spindle? I've been using it for a few years now and it happens when running my sanding drum or Power planner.
  7. Tighter Headstock Matt, So you Don't have to use string trees. I think you oughta Design a headstock that shows a unique MetalMatt Design. Trademark Headstock. Uniquely Yours.
  8. Reminds me of this. Just more "Bloody" Edges and points.
  9. Approximately 3/4" at the 1st Fret and 7/8" at the 12th Fret. I don't have any information on the radius. Guitarshopsupply.net do not have any other info.
  10. The Heel is 20mm thick to the bottom of the fingerboard, add the FB thickness to that of 5mm.
  11. 55 mm at the widest end of the heel. They are indeed Jumbo Frets but I have no idea what the dimensions of a Wizard neck are. This neck is 25 1/2" Scale It's 12 3/4" to the 12th fret, 41mm at the nut.
  12. Jan, Keep in mind that, If you want to use Nylon Strings such as Classical Guitars You won't need or use a pickup for that. The Nylon strings vibrate but will not be picked up from a magnetic pickup since they lack mettalic structure needed to change the sound to amplify. If it were hollow and you use Piezo, that may work.
  13. If you live close to a home depot go there and get a general tools T-Handle Reamer and use it to open the holes a little. I think I spent $14.00 for it and it did the trick. Only do a little at a time though. Don't drill them out. Budget Peg Head Reamer
  14. You have a few choices but you may not like them very well. A Standard LP Jr. had non-adjustable saddles instead of movable bridge pieces. You can get that style of bridge/Tailpiece cheap at stewmac, Like 12 bucks. They have the wrap-around aluminum bridge/Tail for quite a bit more. They also carry the Baby Grand which is Very Nice But Very Pricey. A standard Tune-O-Matic won't work because you don't have anywhere to fasten the strings.Pigtail Bridge/Tail Baby Grand Gotoh/Wilkinson
  15. Just my opinion but to cover that Pupleheart would be heartbreakin. Either a clear, darkening Finish or Purple transparent lacquer. Keep the Graphix Version for a Basswood Body. IMO.
  16. An Inverted Iron Cross that crasses at the Bridge
  17. Regardless of where you posted it, You're doing a great job on it. Looks clean and tidy, ready for a neck and bridge.
  18. This thought isn't very Metal but It kinda looks like a Unicorn Horn. Ugly One Horned Mule as they refered to them In "Legend" with Tom Cruise.
  19. The height of the flat is perfect for a pre-cut plastic nut and If you wanna clean it up nicely you can cut a small piece of rosewood or ebony, to match the fingerboard wood, to place in front of it and glue that down, shaping it to your likeing.
  20. It has a real nice feel to it. Here's a few pics of front and back.
  21. I just got my Jackson Style Neck From TNT Guitar parts and it's preped for a Floyd Nut and it wasn't stated in the breakdown and you couldn't tell from the picture. It's unfinished and not drilled for neck mount holes. All in All, Not a bad deal for $90. BUT I was expecting it to have a regular nut not prepped for a Floyd nut and I thought it would be finished.
  22. I'm with Dead on that. Keep thinking bout it, You'll get the perfect name.
  23. I've used the Gotoh Tune-O-matic Bridges on a couple of guitars and they are very good quality and cheap as well. Warmoth offers them at $18 bucks American. Warmoth Bridge I got a server error After posting it and it may be ok later.
