    Thanks..I just realized how much wood it was but happily i found a good place for wood so i didnt cost much at all (around 35-40) but I made is thick because its gonna be set thru like mcnaughtguitars.

    Heh that builds up my confidence a bit, im 16 also and Im starting to build from scratch (i used to do kits and cut up already made bodies when i was 15) but I hope i can do that when im 19, again, they look amazing.

    I have all of metallica cds and everything before black album and st anger i like. Stuff between that i really cant relate to. St anger definitely does lack solos that i could listen to time and time again but i think the cd was more to deal with their pain in stress. I think thats why its a little loud. And the whole thing about metallica selling out i think is a little out of place. Technology changed and you cant repeat and album. When cars were made, i dont think people that walked everywhere kept walking due to the fact thats how life used to be. I just think they changed because everything else was changing too

    I think one of the answers shouldve been "Meh"..fender teles i have no appeal to except a clear coated ash body. Also schecter makes a tele variation that i have fell in love with This guitar

    I agree with him, schecters seem to be holding up value like non other, even though commercialized a bit, they still give bang for the buck online the huge coorporations who are a little lost in themselves and green

    Eh I dont think I heard anyone say explorer, though I havnt played on one, they seem like a real blast to play

    Haha thanks, that means a lot due to how badly I want to build guitars. And yes Im sure im 16 lol. Ive tinkered with squiers and kits with NO idea what i was doing. But sleepless nights on projectguitar and othersites, I learned somewhat what to do. Thanks again

    Well for the controls I think the knobs should be by his ass due to the fact theres so much space down there. And for a paint job, I think you should get a dark midnight blue as a basecoat, than put a type of net on the guitar and spray a darkish blood red to give it a web effect. So yeah, good luck on the spider

    I updated 2 pics, i slotted the fret board and thinned width of the board...i drew out my neck but uh cheap bandsaws are the worst. My blade got stuck in the thick wood and i had to break the blade and put garderners gloves on to manually take out the blade. Well hopefully I can learn how to properly replace bandsaw blades

    Hey Im a 16 year old and I just started building my first guitar guitar from scratch. After thinking about what to do, and i decided to go for a double cutaway, and when I get a figured top, I'll try to dye the wood like mcnaught does (Look at the design at the bottom).     Hey guys, Im sixteen and I've been searching day and night to how to make guitars and i have everything doesnt EXEPT how to make carved tops. By any chance can you help me how to do carved top so i can start my project. Once I start my project, ill start sending pictures, thanks a lot.
