    Being a Taylor owner 814ce ($3000.00 +) and 410 ($1200.00) I'd tell you to put your money with them. But for what asking for IF Taylor took special orders would cost 20 grand minimum.

    The FX200 is conventional so that's good. Jeremy, you mentioned in a painting tutorial that you prefer a 1.4 tip. Is that a good all around general purpose size.

    Does anyone have any experience with Sharpe guns? I am considering getting their Finex FX200. It's non HVLP, is recommended for all automotive paints and finishes. 1.4mm nozzle. If not, recommendations on guns in the $100-$150 range.

    The problem really isn't with the HOK base, if you made a small portable paint booth with ventilation and wear a respirator, the problem is with the clears. What are planning on clearing with? HOK clears need forced air vent and everything else. Does it have to be HOK? Auto Air Colors makes some good quality paint that is water based. All you need there is a particulate mask. But you still need to clear.

    That can be filed under bad advice. Ever heard of isocyanates Pluck. In plain english they are nerve toxins. Do a little more research before you start your project Scovill, just to be safe.

And not having an area ready to go for testing out guitars. That's like a car dealership not having gas in any of the cars for test drives. 8. I do a little of both.

    yeah I guess with the Brian way you don't really have glue joining the two pieces of veneer together. I might have lost a bit in the sanding process. It's very positional though. A move of a couple feet really makes it disappear and come back.

    the flame did get lost slightly wear the tone knob will be. The veneer came from Griizzly already bookmatched and glued. Instead of separating them i mounted it that way. That's the glue line you see. I am considering doing a pinstripe there to hide it. Any thoughts on that or how to prevent it next time?

    Decided to try adding a flamed maple veneer to a RG body. Got two pieces of veneer from Grizzly. It was Sangria red as you can see in the cavities. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v205/Blu...os/DSC00363.jpg Stains are from Stew Mac. I did a double black wash first, sanded it back then went with a pretty strong blue. The faux binding came as an after thought. Sanding and some detail work with Xacto knife on that.     I have a 3 year old Taylor 410 for sale. The 410 is a full size drednought (sp.) with an Ovankol back (African hardwood more mellow than Rosewood) and Spruce top. I had a Fishman Matrix II under saddle pick up installed professionally. Has original Taylor logo hardshell case. Condition is very good, has one or two small dings on top and standard issue pick scratches on pick gaurd. I got a 814ce about 2 years ago and the 410 hasn't seen much playing time since. Asking $700.00 but can be flexible if you are interested. I have pictures available if you want.

    Thanks for the reply Jeremy, I will give the tarps and tracks method a try. As far as the Auto Air colors paints are concerned are they to level were forced ventilation and filtered exhaust are necessary? They are advertised as water based and non toxic. Thanks again.

    Sure you can use a stencil. Tape it down well, spray light coats to avoid runs use care when removing stencil. For getting a nice finish read up on the polishing tutorials.
