  1. is it a good idea to paint a fret board black without clear coat? i know it will chip occasionally. my acoustic guitars fretboard is painted also, thats where i got the idea from

  3. i looekd on ed romans website and i seen that they had a bronze series mockingbird bass! and i was like right on! but the only bc rich i can order from their site is an eagle. anyone know of any other reliable websites that carry the BRONZE series mockingbird bass guitar? but on the bcrich site it doesnt say they have one, but heres the ed roman one (the headstock doesnt look exactly like a bronze?) http://www.edromanguitars.com/avail/bass/b...l_bcr121112.JPG theres also bronze body blanks that are really expensive goto numer 27 http://www.edromanguitars.com/parts/bodyblanks.htm
  4. i have a ibanez soundgear GIO bass, color is bluey/purple, no scratches on front but on the back there is scratches, theres a chip in the paint at the heel. everything is in working order, and i was wondering what it would be worth?   6. hey, i dont have any pointers for you, but im also making a mockingbird, bass tho and not neck thru...its a little different then the mockingbird but i had to have my little bit of originality, cant wait to see what both of ours will look like done

  10. ok thanks, the reason i was wonsdering was becasue im almost done my 4 string neck, and i kinda wished that i would of made a 5 string neck in stead. would it work to buy a different brand 5 string bridge+nut and put it on a 4 string?
  11. i was looking on hipshots website and iseen the "convert your 4 string bass to a 5 string" and i was wondering if the pack was just a 5 string bridge and the tuning machines that also required a new neck

  13. no idont mean "is there a bass trem" i mean could you make an existing bass bridge into a bass trem....but GregP i would make some better plans. and about the pivot, is that jsut screws that screw in at the top part of the bridge to hold it in while it lifts?

  17. wow jamm thats awesome...so after you torched it you put clear over it or what? that would looks awesome on the mockingbird im building. also would it work if i painted the guitar black first then torch it to get thats burn look?

  22. do you guys think its more of a slope made by a chamfer router bit (exuse my speeling if its wrong and sorry for like double posting)
  23. oh, i also forgot to mention that the rounded (more of a slope i guess?) gets smaller as it goes down
