  1. the MIMF library has one too... Autocad template...
  2. err... the preamped cable is talked about on the Tillman website he even does a preamped *stereo* cable!
  3. heres the thing... you could use the microphone port on your sound card, wich is amplified. BUT it would sound crap! STILL, there is the line-in port... Wich is unamplified what I do is run my guitar/bass in the amp then take the line out of the amp into the card's line in... but to get any somewhat audible volume, you really need the amp....... that does the job with a good sound...... BUT have a low volume on your stuff, like johnH said, because it overloads a lot (i get distortion on my acoustic ) just try it in the MIC port, and maybe, MAYBE the sound will be ok...
  4. here's something kinda cool. i really like these types of necks... Warmoth Neck i remember a compagny that did 1 piece mahogany necks too... i think it's spector... (yep it is) http://www.spectorguitar.com
  5. i guess it dosen't really matter... even if it digs a little, it can't dig anymore than where the tubing is...
  6. Ok, i know allparts sells them, but i don't wanna pay 20$ shipping for 6$ of stuff who else has them? what else can i use? how can i just not use some? now i was thinking... how does Godin do it? they seem to make an angled hole right to the back ferrule (or so i think...) Hell, they even have a recessed ToM. now, if i can make the angle right, that should work no? is it actually feasable? Or maybe i could simply make my own ferrules... (washers? ) thanks...
  7. the only problem, i realised, is to find tuners for a 4x2 design... you either have to buy sperzels or buy normal tuners 1 by 1...
  8. even thoug i would ditch the Tele electronics, i really like that design!
  9. i AM thinking that if a maple body can brighten the sound, why wouldn't having the pickups on metal NOT brighten it??
  10. are locking tuners somewhat useful with a TOM i know they will stay in tune longer and require less turning, but is it worth it (for the price...)
  11. god that's pretty desperating you know... i'm about to start my first guitar and i don't want it to be crap..... i don't exactly care about the looks, but i really need it to play well! I'm not building my own neck either... I'd never get it right . I just need to get my bridge right! having no experience with wood, this REALLY is scary. anyone's first guitar where really good playing (i.e. becoming one's main guitar?)
  12. from the parker website: "Each DiMarzio humbucking pickup is secured to the body by two hex-head screws. On the coil, closer to the bridge, the mounting screw is the screw under the B string. On the coil, closer to the neck, the mounting screw is the screw under the A string. Turn the screws clockwise to tighten and counterclockwise to loosen." guess the pickups are different...
  13. AND steel rings are probably gonna brighten your sound too...
  14. holy crap man, you've done it again... even better than your rainforest, if you ask me! you've REALLY got some skills.
  15. you mean just like a parker fly?
  16. bah... it all depends on if i screw my pickup routs lol... if i get em clean i'll not use a ring... if i don't i'll kinda HAVE to
  17. it all depends on how much can your bridge's saddles be adjusted... i guess it would be pretty much a close call with 1/16"
  18. ehm, how much is the option for a mahogany instead of maple for the neck? i'd really love to do that cause i don't want my sound to be bright... thanks
  19. whoa, really nice axe!!! only think i would have done different is the binding... i would've put black instead very nice job!
  20. anyways, I prefer the looks of direct mounting. Also, You can change the tone to a good extent. You can get a good 1/4 inch closer for the neck without mounting rings.
  21. Art & Lutherie (Godin...) makes acoustic guitars of wich the top is "wild cherry" link it's a beginner guitar, but my friend(s... like 4 or em) has one and i can tell you it sounds very good (for the price anyways...) sound shouldn't be a problem... just watch out since its soft, it'll ding easily.
  22. why does it being a single cut make it a LP ? I mean... there are lots of these... what about a tele? Anyway, Great job!

  25. err... i know these pitch wheels exist...But they're really aweful. what you're telling me is sustainers aren't useful since you can generate sustain (even without MIDI) the reason sustainers exist is because those don't sound natural. Poeple have said e- bows sound good with MIDI so why not a sustainer ?
