  1. Yep, also Grover tuners included and the frets had just been leveled. One of my good Ebay scores. As far as the chrome rings tying in the chrome bridge, that's exactly what I was thinking. With black knobs, the 3-way switch tip, and the zebra pickups, it's the perfect balance of chrome, black and the wood color.
  2. I got this done a month or so ago, but just added the chrome pickup rings. I thought they added a little something to the guitar instead of the original Wolf not having any. 3 piece Black Limba body Washburn N2 Nuno Bettencourt series neck. Licensed Floyd Bridge resting against the body Seymour Duncan Distortion bridge and Duncan Designed Jazz neck 500K vol and tone
  3. The ad looks great. Only thing I might do is add a picture or two of the back the neck and neck joint.
  4. PRICE LOWERED So, I'm cleaning out my projects closet and just picked out a bunch of parts that I am not going to use. Here's the list: 1 red strat tone knob, 2 pink strat tone knobs, 2 trem anchors larger size, small ebony blank 7" X 2" X .5", white trem bar tip, 2 white 5-way switch tips, 1 white plastic standard nut, 1 black plastic standard nut, 2 black trem posts that don't match the anchors, 2 trem claws, 6 trem springs, 3 white single coil covers, 3 black single coil covers, 4 string retainers, 2 floyd nut blocks, chrome flying V tail piece, 5 way switch with black tip and 32mm screw spacing which is smaller than strat or ibanez, 2 black truss rod covers one curved and one flat triangle, 6 500K push/pull pots, black 7 string pickup ring, 2 single coil pickups working and one humbucker not tested, 3 stew mac bindings: 1 black .060" x .250" x 65", 1 white/black/white .060" x .250" x 65", and one black .020" x .250" x 65". PRICE JUST LOWERED TO $40, SHIPPING INCLUDING IN THE USA. $50 SHIPPED OUTSIDE USA Please don't ask me to split anything up out of the lot. If no one wants this after a week, then maybe I'll repost some things individually. Here's some pics:
  5. With an Ebony fretboard, I would think that would brighten up the Basswood choice nicely. There are both alder and basswood Jems made by Ibanez, so either choice would be keeping it pretty original.
  6. I can't be the only one waiting impatiently for this one. What's the status? This thing looks amazing.
  7. I'm just selling this cheap because it will need some work. It's a Kramer neck, but the headstock was spray painted black, and not a great job either. 21 Fret neck, 25 1/2" scale length. Maple/Rosewood. It was converted to take a Floyd Rose nut. Black (cheap) tuners included as is a string tree to keep the high E string in line. It has it's share of nics, however only one small one is located on the back of the neck where your hand would feel it, and it's just in the finish, so sand it back or fill it with CA glue would fix that easy. Heel has a few extra holes where it was mounted on another type of guitar. Heel width is a standard 2 3/16". This fits a Strat or Kramer. The frets are where this will need the most work. There's tons of life in these, not worn down much at all, but, some have started to raise up out of the slots and they are not even. This would be a great project neck for anyone practicing leveling frets or re-fretting. I'm selling it cheap due to the work needed on it. $25 total will include shipping to anywhere in the US. Paypal is easiest. PM or e-mail me at t1r12003@yahoo.com
  8. I'm cleaning out my project closet and found this neck. I sanded back the headstock and back of the neck to find what I'm 99% sure is mahogany, but since there's that 1%, I'm just selling this cheap. The frets are in great shape, no wear, just need polished. They may need leveled, I never had this on a guitar so I don't know. The edges of the frets do need filed back on either side of the neck, as you run your hand down the neck you feel them sticking out a bit. Fretboard is rosewood. Tuner holes are the smaller 8mm size to take vintage Strat tuners with the ferrules. The back of the headstock has the double set of holes for two screws for each tuner. There's a sticker on the back of the headstock CE. Heel is 2 3/16" or 56mm wide. Has a sticker on the heel E 0413585. It is square at the end and no fretboard overhang. 22 frets, 25 1/2" scale length. 1 5/8" nut width, or 41mm. Standard nut is not included. There's enough material/wood behind the nut slot that you could even rout this out for a floyd nut. That's a lot of description for only $15, but hey, I want you to know what you're getting. $10 to ship this in the US. PM or e-mail me at t1r12003@yahoo.com Paypal is easiest for me. Here's some pics:
  9. I bought this a while back and never build the guitar to go with it. Now, I'm way too deep into multiple projects to use it. http://cgi.ebay.com/Washburn-N4-Padauk-Ebo...1QQcmdZViewItem
  10. I see what you mean. Actually, I need another set of tuners for another guitar, so I'll just buy left handed ones for this one to make them more balanced. Thanks!
  11. My mistake Metal Matt, it was a reverse headstock Jackson neck I have. Here it is, quickly rough sanded and the neck pocket set. I traced the centerline crack with a pencil to keep things in line, so that's why it's enhanced in the pic.
  12. The 7 string neck I have isn't a reverse headstock. I've always liked the classic shapes like the Explorer, Destroyer, or Iceman. You win for best original metal guitars though!
  13. Here's a little work in Microsoft Paint to see what it would look like with my neck and bridge:
  14. That's sweet. The only thing is, since I'm keeping it natural oiled mahogany, I don't know how that shape would look unless painted. That's what I'm thinking about the Hamer (3rd pic) too. I'm leaning more and more towards the Destroyer, probably because I had a set neck Explorer that got the headstock broken off, and I've wanted another one for a while now. I'll keep everyone in the loop and post pics of the guitar being made.
  15. Well, I've had my parts for a while, but no body to go with them Jackson maple/rosewood neck, shark fin inlays, angled headstock Evolution bridge PU Jazz neck PU Chrome Floyd I think I've decided on a solid oiled mahogany body, and more of a heavy metal shape. I would use 3 black speed knobs and a black 3-way switch. What do you guys think of these 3 options I've narrowed it down to? Ibanez Destroyer, Ibanez Iceman, or Hamer Scarab?
  16. You may try Jemsite.com I bet you'll get a lot of responses for it. They love Ibanez stuff.
  17. Going to auction this weekend on these two blanks. PM or e-mail me by Friday if anyone wants one.
  18. Sizes were listed in the title, but they are each: 13 1/2" X 19 3/4" X 1 3/4" also edited in the description.
  19. Both are exactly the same size. 13.5" X 19.75" X 1.75" They are both 2 piece bodies already glued up. They have been surfaced nicely. I did not get a chance to completely sand off all reminants from gluing them, you can tell on the backs. The fronts are really nice and clean, the backs have a little darker streaking going on. The right blank has a slight mineral marking on the top in the lower left corner, but will be cut out when you choose your shape. Poplar is similar in tone to alder and was thought to be what Eddie Van Halen made his Kramer 5150 guitar out of according to VintageKramer.com. It was also one of the choice woods that Melvyn Hiscock chose to make a guitar from in his book "Make You Own Electric Guitar" probably the handbook for most guys on the forum. $25 each. Shipping will probably be around $15, but it depends on where you live. I'll only charge what it costs me.
  20. Do some searches for "Tiger's Eye" stain. It's dark brown, sand back amber, sand back red, sand back yellow sand back then any other accent color you need followed by the laquer etc...
  21. Going to auction tomorrow for these two items.
  22. I also have this Washburn 22 fret 25.5" scale length neck for sale. Only flaw is a small chip in the headstock. Some extra holes in the heel from mounting on a different body. Frets show a little wear 1-5, typical use. Comes with the floyd locking nut and allen wrench holder on the back of the headstock. Square Washburn heel. Satin type feel the back of the neck, not high gloss lacquer. $50 shipped in the USA.
  23. Here's 2 pics of the RG copy: $40 shipped in USA.
  24. RG 550 sold. RG copy and neck still available. Pics coming soon.
