I have an epiphone les paul special a simple 2 humbucker guitar with one tone and one volume that has been buzzing for a while now and I CAN't fix it.
the buzz ends when i touch the volume knob or when i palm mute the strings anywhere along the neck.
Any thoughts on what the problem might be???
Wigglez
I was thinking of either doing a laminate neck and finishing it in natural, or a single peice neck and paint the whole thing white and do a EVH style thing on the front and headstock with black and red stripes.
Either way I'll do CF rods.
I'm gonna do a maple neck with alder wings. I like nice bright guitars. I'll probably re-use all the electronics and parts from the first guitar I did to save some money. Because that thing is well...er...far from perfect

Just remember thats to thin a guitar to use with a floyd rose (I think the min thickness is 1.75")
Heyyyyyyy....what if on that SG you did red grain filler just where the flame design is?!!!
then stained the rest of the wood a different color that would be crazy!
It reminds me of a jester's hat, and makes me think of The Joker from Batman. That is to say, I like it.
EDIT: Wow. Idch beat me to it.
Remember the Alamo, and God Bless Texas...

MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH it's finally done. I'll post pictures soon the shape is rather hard to describe.
The body is Madrona wood that my dad and I milled from a root ball. the neck is from warmoth (maple with ebony fretboard) with my own crazy head stock.
As far as hardware goes It has 2 EMG humbuckers (81 & 85) with 1 tone & 1 volume, A tonepro tune-o-matic, with sperzel tuners.
I'll post pretty soon
I was originally going to use a floyd rose original tremelo but the guitar body has a monstor crack across the body right where the trem hole would, be making the body pretty weak. So I'm ordering a Tonepro tunamatic bridge instead to avoid the crack as much as possible (Even though I'm fixiing the crack anyway).
Is it possible to use a floyd locking nut with the tonepro cuz my neck is all ready preped for one (Warmoth neck)
Just being paranoid and making sure
I am supposed to finish building my guitar by the end of next week and have the body pickups and bridge but the neck I ordered Won't be here in time for my deadline.
The Problem is I don't know how to find the scale length without the neck,
Does anyone now if this is at all possible? If so PLEASE help me
