Pickups are normally potted to prevent microphonic noise caused by loose pickups windings. So it won't really improve the tone but it will stop and nasty feedback you have. So basically if you have feedback pot your pickups,if not you probably don't need to.
keep in mind thatthe slammer series are not made by the same people as the hamer americans.

I knew that, I just always wondered what they were like because no one around here carries them and I knew that Hamer made nice guitars so I figured their korean counterparts might be not too bad.
Mudvayne are ok, some of their sogns I love, some of them I hate, jsut like my relationship with system of a down. I did see mudvayne at ozzfest this year and they did play well so I'll give it to them, I'll see where they can go from here.
ooooh now that I've thought about it you should try and hunt down a set of those george lynch skull tuners, they'd go with the whole vibe of the brutalizer but I think they might only have been made in 6 inline. Just a thought..
I really really don't like them, I tried but I couldn't. Also, what kind of pricks kick their own brother out of thier band. Talk about unresolved issues.
If you play a power chord you can always mute most of the other strings with your hand as you smash the strings. After you've been playing for a while and you have good muscle memory its not hard to know where to hit the strings.
I like that shape its original but not over the top, like.. a wolfgang mixed with a tele and a les paul. Now it just needs a few little changes scrap the tele bridge assembly and throw a nice gold floyd on there. Thats what I'd call a guitar
As far as I can think of make sure that it doesn't throw the scale length off, I'm sure someone with more experience will be around soon to give another opinion.
Last year when I was looking for a new amp I asked about a bass amp and the salesman told me that you can play a bass through a guitar amp but not the other way around, maybe it was just because the bass amp i was eyeing was cheaper than the guitar amps but thats what I've been told. Either way if you do I'd suggest you turn it down.
I really didn't like that song much, I got the new album and I really like with the exception of In This River and a few others. If I were Zakk my tribute to Dime would've been a headbanging classic that dime will hear in heaven and go "thats rad" instead of "Zakks gone off the deep end".
