    I find that using bore oil on Rosewood reduces the dryness and makes the wood grain stand out more. Nice build. Beautiful.

    I gotta disagree with ihocky2 (respectfully) on this one. The main difference between fenders and squiers are the parts. The body is probably made from the same stock they use for fenders.

    I don't think it's really possible to do a Frankenstein without the floyd. In my opinion that is a must.

    I was planning on using it on mahogany and then using a nitro clear finish over that. Thanks for all the input!!!

    I was wondering whether or not I would need to use a vinyl sealer if I already used a epoxy grain filler?

    What does having a recessed tune-o-matic help with?

    I scalloped all my strat's frets a while back. The only dot I had trouble with was the bottom 12th fret dot.

    If you have maple inlays you probably are going to need to put some sort of finish on them anyway, so that would cover the stain and prevent stain from wearing.

    I am looking to do my first project and was wondering if there was a place that sell nut files cheap. I would rather not invest 80+ dollars into a set. Anyone know of a place to get them? Also, is there a way you could use one file to do multiple slots. i.e. using a .010" to make a .010" slot and a .013" slot? Thanks

    My bad, I was slightly confused about that. Yeah , it looks kind of like they mixed amber and brown. Does kind of remind me of rootbeer.

    I doubt that this is amber, it's got to much of an orangish tint to it.

    It is pretty. I think Verhoevanc is right. Dark brown and some sort o rootbeerish tint. Thanks for the input.

    So is it safe to leave a rosewood neck unfinished? Wouldn't it let moisture in and warp?
