I have a Strat knock off, a Jay Turser. It's the same size as the Strat Standard, and I was wondering, can I Floyd it? It isn't recessed, and has the normal cavity for a Fender style trem. I'm not worried about recessing, I just wanna know if it'll work soundly and efficiently. Also, can I just buy a Floyd, from say GuitarFetish, and slap that puppy on there? Or would I have to follow some procedure?

Hey, i'm Josh, and looking to build a few of my guitars back to the condition of awesome. lol. I'm generally not a **** starter, and i'm really looking forward to what you guys can teach me about the parts of the guitar i've yet to explore, that being the electronics. I'm not a guitar noob at all, having 11 years of playing and recently (2008) starting a band. I'm just not familiar with the wiring n such. So, hello to everyone!
