  1. Isn't it supposed to be 25.5" not 25" (is that the scale length your talking about). I take it where you have the bridge is the exact placement for it. It just seems that if you drill where you have marked, the bridge will have to move towards the neck to have the pins that go in the studs actually sit in the knife edges.
  2. Are you sure your studs end up where you have marked them. They seem quite a distance from the knife edges.
  3. I haven't piped up earlier but I enjoy watching this build evolve. I almost get a little sad when I don't see anything added for a few days.
  4. Thanks for the replies guys. I did a bit of reading from all over the internet. I was more wanting to know where you position the saddles when first placing a bridge onto a body. The general consensis is to put the saddle half way between all the way forward and all the back. I was more curious which string do most people use as the point of reference when mounting the bridge, due to the staggered nature that the saddles end up in when intonating etc. The bridge is from a Micky Thomas MTM2.
  5. I know all about scale length etc. I am modifying an Ibanez S and putting an Edge fixed bridge in. I was wondering where is the point of reference taken from on the bridge to find its needed placement on the body. Is it taken from the the front edge of the bridge, the low E saddle, the D saddle ??
  6. I have a hybrid I guess you call it Ibanez S470 with a S370 neck. I brought the pieces seperately. I have organised to get a picture airbrushed onto it. The guy who is doing it wants to spray the FR. I mentioned it would probably not be a good idea as it would get worn off. I was wondering (I said I would like into the feasabilty of it) is it possible to paint the black FR without anything adverse happening and if it is possible what style of paints are suggested.
