  6. Thanks ! I found this acetone thing to work great, but I do not have a lot of experience with plastic binding... May I ask what do you use ? I use cianoacrilate (super bonder), more especifictly loctite 401, that was made for porous materials like wood. I mold the binding using a hair dryer and tape. When get coold the tape was removed and gluing process begins.
  7. Very Very nice job! super clean! Acetone and bind craps .... interesing I´ll try next time
  8. I do too, it gives a hot-rod look.
  9. Yesterday I put the bridge and the bigsby on his places. In fact brigsby and bridge are to close each other, could be more 0,5 cm between. It won´t be a problem if I assembly the bigsby sometinh about 0,3-0,4cm higher using a piece of cork to do this. This will decrease the angle of the string in relation to the bridge.
  10. I think that need to pulloff some milimeters yet and I´m not very happy with the final shape. This wood is very stable, but its dam hard, will loose my arm again !!! kekeke
  11. In fact he decide alredy, i´ll thin out a little at the 10th fret till the neck heal, something about 1,5mm to 2mm. He had tested a gibson 50´s reissue and don´t like of the neck shape, too fat, but he also says that don´t wanna a thin neck. so I think that 2,155 to 2,4(I´ll thin a little bit here) it´s a good measure to the neck. Of coure I´ll setup all hardware to test, but i´ll make the test, the owner its someting about 800km far from me! Tks the advices!!!

  15. that´s ok for a 4 string bass? i guess that be very confortable
  16. at first at 7th at 12th back neck view and so .... the neck its to fat? I think that 1,5mm less and it will be fine. what you guys think?
