  1. It may have been discused in another thread, but what are these gonna cost? I live in the UK and i really want one. Good video BTW, it really put the point across.
  2. I found this guy in the UK. http://www.ampmaker.com
  3. The surface area is pretty small and you may run into problems if its just glued up. I have seen nearly as bad just glued and it was ok. If it were me i would use a couple of splints, this of course mean harder refinishing, i cant say for certain without having it my hands. It worth getting fixed though.
  4. If the fingerboard intact and still attached to the rest of the neck it should be ok. IS their lots of fragments or just the 2 pieces?
  5. I have a TC G Major and that doesn't drop out at all. Awesome piece of kit!
  6. If its a truss rod that works in the forth dimension (ie time) i would love to see it! Jus kidding
  7. Get a Push to Break button switch if you just want it to cut out while you are touching it, in other worlds it doesn't latch.
  8. Yes! and Yes. I think it is worth the extra. It feels more more positive has a better arm holder and has a much higher quality finish. In the uk the edge pro is only about 15% more expensive. What is it costing you?
  9. I use an artist scapel to clean slots, you can get so many different shaped blades for them. Please do not cut your finger off with it though, its very easy to do so.
  10. Also its a Output jack and not an input jack. I would ground everything to the switch and not straight to the jack, maybe used screened wire from the switch to the jack too. You could fit small tone pots inside the caviyt if you find the tone a little bright.

  12. The heel needs to be about 20-25 mm (inc fingerboard) thick with body lip/ bit being about 20mm if you want stability.Have you seen the back of an Ibanez AANJ close up Chunkielad?
  13. I used colron antique oil on a bit of scrap limba (very porous like mahog) and built up a good gloss finish really quickly. I wouldn't bother grainfilling unless you want a super high gloss finish, going by your opening post you wanna go with oil or similar? Tru oil is just tung oil with varnish in it to make it a little tougher. Setch knows everything about the rustins stuff which may be an alternative if you cant spray.
  14. What a rip off! well not really. Cloth wire doesn't make your guitar sound better! I hate this vintage stuff=better. just get 2 good pots and a nice cap and make a better version. BTW CTS pots break just as often as any other good pot i have ever used, they are of resonable quality. Panasonic make really good pots sometimes $100 each, never seen one in a guitar though.
  15. Depends how far the neck goes into the body. Nothing to say the 2 of the bolts can't go as far in as under the neck pickup or between the 2 pickups.
  16. You can get matt finish wipe/brush on acrylic finish, wal and patrick eggle used it, both british companies. I don't know what the stuff is called though. its tougher than tung oil.
  17. On some fender type guitars the nut slot is radiused like the fingerboard and the same radius has to be put on to the bottom of the new nut. You can also make the slot flat with a file.
  18. I had a few 2"x1/2"x48" Laminates from CS and the were so bent i could only get 11/4"x1/2"x48" out of it, they sent me some more but it must of been like that when they sent me it.
  19. Exactly, nice time your in a guitar shop have a look at an american fender with a maple board and the frets look gold, thats the laquer. Just use some 600 grit up to 0000 wool to remove the laquer.
  20. A nice tranny amp is a Hughes and kettner Matrix 100, again i dont know what these go for but it will be less that the marshall.
  21. I am assuming u like slash right? What about a dsl401? I dont know what they go for in the states but its great for all that sort of stuff.
  22. GET IT!, it will be very useful tool to joint bodies with. I have a number 6 and its a great tool.
