thats kinda funny. I imagine prs still makes marks signature guitar for him, i mean, gibson would never be able to prove it.

SDs are the way to go for the price. my suggestions would be: Bridge.........................Neck SH 4 JB.......................SH 1 59 SH 4 JB.......................SH 2 jazz Pearly Gates................SH 2 jazz do not put the 59 in the bridge position!!!! (unless you want the sound to be unbearably bright)

I would definately take the prs over the gibson. its funny how few people know much about prs, or would want a prs over a gibson. I love the tremonti pickups.

shecter guitars are usually great for the money. (with the possible exception of the omen6 and 006) I dont think they are usually the greatest for jazz, but the c1 has a duncan jb, which is so versatile, it should work. most duncan neck pickups work good for jazz, so it should be ok. Dont get the exiotic unless you really like how it looks, it really isnt an improvement over the classic in sound quality.

im just worried about the fretboard and frets. is there anyplace you can buy these pre-fretted?

from what I have heard, it sounds good, but not as good as some other high end prs guitars. I have also heard that it is pretty versatile, but I would suggest getting a standard 22 or 24, they are about the same price as the 513.

I bought a pair of mightymite motherbuckers, but i cant find which wires are soldered to which, and so on. can anyone help? thanks

I would suggest a second-hand rg too. I would also suggest replacing the pickups, cuz ibz pickups kinda suck.
