I took about 15 minutes yesterday and worked on a rough cut Koa wood fretboard blank to give you an idea the ease and finish with using this product. Im looking for some techniques for using oil (especially danish oil) as a finish? Boiled or Cold Press? Natural or Stained Colors? Thinners you like to use? Brands? Wax coat after or no? Like I said, how do you like to do them?

Does a maple fretboard or neck have to be finish with lacquer or nitro? Or can it be oiled? If I dont finish it with lacquer and decide on oil, what are the downfalls?
