  1. Hi everybody. I bought a set of 50 brass eyelets from Ebay and want to make some flatwork for a singlecoil pickup design. Just wondering if anybody had any good tricks on how to set the eyelets? There is a tool from stewmac to do this very thing, but if I could find a good way to do it without ordering it that would be a bonus. Thanks!
  2. Does anyone know of any suppliers of headless guitar hardware that won't break the bank? Seems everywhere I look the minimum price is $350-$400 bucks for a system. Is there anywhere that offers a budget option? Thanks!
  3. Hadn't considered that, good idea.
  4. I was wondering if anyone had experience with this? I remember when Premier Builders Guild first came out and being super inspired by that. I always thought it would be cool if there was a more community scale version of this, where builders could bring their own work to one location to make use of services or equipment that were beyond the scale of a home workshop or small builder. For example, if I wanted to do a small run of 15-20 guitars and had already made the files, what sort of places might I look to get those blanks milled? I realize there are a lot of moving variables in this sort of thing, and it is likely very location specific - brainstorming a bit here.
  5. Looks good. I'll be interested to see you build that retro styled model too. The background doesn't cycle for me though. It seems to flash the other guitars and then goes back to the Marlin. How do you pronounce MuX by the way? like "mucks" or "mewks"?
  6. I think a jazzmaster/telemaster would be cool in cherry. Or just design your own thing.
  7. Thanks for the reply. Do you just use the dremel freehand?
  8. I'm doing a couple builds with bound fretboards. This is something I've never done before, so I don't have a pair of fret nippers. I'd just order one, but I'd like to do it sooner than later, and don't really feel like waiting a couple weeks for shipping. I've seen people set up jigs for their dremels to do the same thing. So I was wondering what kind of jigs or other tools you've created for the job?
  9. Never in my life have I seen wood like that. Looks great.
  10. Could you elaborate a little more on this? I assume this works by just clearing out the fumes? Sounds like an interesting thing to try.
