Why do you need 39 frets?

Where are you getting those numbers? I see a 50 dollar shipping charge for 10 sets of strat pickups.

I looked around for a while but in the end the cheapest and supposedly best for price pickups still came from guitarfetish. And thats including the shipping. I haven't put them on my strat yet though.

My post wasn't an answer for your EVIDENCE inquiry but to docbass's question. It was a simple answer to a simple question. I don't know if this is evidence for you or not but its an interesting article to read.

Someone posted a while ago something like "If you're going to build your own guitar why settle with the cheaper options that mass producers are forced into." Thats not the exact quote nor do I remember who said it but the idea still stands. Quartersawn is better but its just harder to get/more expensive.

I had problems googling it and couldn't really find much info on 2-pole type switches. This is the one that I've got now. Could you post a pic or link of the type that I need? Thanks.

I might be blind but I found nothing helpful on that site. Thanks for the effort though. The whole problem of this wiring is having the two volumes before the switch and being able to tap the humbucker with the same switch. I thought that diagram that I whipped up would work but after looking at it for a while and comparing it to other diagrams there seem to be some grounding issues and I'm still unsure if the switch will work the way that I want.

Could someone draw up a schematic for a single humbucker and a single singlecoil, where both pickups have separate volumes and the switch positions would be 1) 1 humbucker coil, 2) both humbucker coils 3)humbucker + single 4)single only 5) No pickups. Order isn't important. I don't know if it's even possible but if it is, help would be appreciated.

Molotow brand paints are eastern europe based as far as I know. And yes, they and Montana cans are all the rage in the graffiti world. Never used either on guitars... yet. I do have a bunch of Montanas ready for a strat refinish so I can let you know how that turns out. They should also be selling at around the 5 euro price.

I know of a "couple" of flatsawn maple fender necks that work just fine.

I heard you get more sustain from wax guitars if you finish them with tung oil instead of nitro.
