  1. Yeah, I know what you mean. Maybe I do the bindings after all. But it's not fun if it looks to much. But I think it will turn out great, Only time will tell.
  2. Yes, the same stuff I used on the body and fretboard, well I think I need to make something to keep it in place, dammit! You was supposed to talk me out of it
  3. Well, since my regular camera have taken a permanent vacation the only one I have at the moment is my cell phone think I will be buying a decent one later on. Any chance someone could talk me out of doing fluorescent bindings on this one?
  4. Managed to get a quite decent photo of the glow effect on this one.
  5. Sounds pretty advanced, Photos have never been my strong side, maybe I will hire someone for that part when these builds are done
  6. Yes that's true, it's usually the hardest part of the build. I try to take pictures outside in daylight if the weather allows it. Usually it generates one or two decent photos that you can use
  7. Yeah, that blue resin looks nice against the black carbon fibre and it looks really cool when it glows in the dark. But it's kinda hard to get any good pictures of that.
  8. A little teaser on this one, just did the resin pouring on the body inlays, starts to look kinda cool
  9. Great, then Im not completely off track Thanks guys for the kind words!
  10. Yes that's the poplar top. Will definitely be a challange to carve, that burl got alot of holes and dents also a very soft, It just kept throwing chunks at me while doing the routing. Used my angle grinder to shape it up quickly (yeah i cheated a bit there ) but will do the rest and final touches with chisels.
  11. Yeah! didn't expect that quilt in the middle, So that was a pleasant surprise. Haven't decided on what colors yet but my head keeps saying, a deep red tone, some orange/yellow and of course pitch black. Don't know if I should stain the burst first or if i should throw together some batches with coloured epoxy resin, only time will tell
  12. Recently glued the top on this one and started on some carves
  13. Thanks, well the fret slots were just marked up about 0,5mm deep on the first pic so maybe thats why
  14. Thanks guys, this fretboard turned out nice, no CNC on this one.
  15. Hi all, Long time since I posted something here been busy with the house and expanding my workshop. Almost finished with the workshop but could help myself from starting some builds. First guitar from left is a mahogany body and will getting a poplar top, sycamore neck and Swedish birch fretboard. Second guitar is kinda advanced one with a Swedish alder body and carbon fibre top, sycamore with ebony fretboard. This build is inspired by the movie "Tron" and will have a lot of inlays on body and fretboard when done. Third build is also Swedish alder body with sycamore neck and ebony fretboard. This will have a crackled black finish with flouroscent green underneath when done.
  16. Yeah it's an old thread but this guitar just crossed my mind while I was searching for some inspiration for a upcoming build
  17. Damn all pics are gone, is this build finished?
  18. Hi all, Started building guitars about two years ago and this my third project so far. I wanted to create a guitar with a clean look that shows the true beauty of natural wood. 19. Thanks well it's hard to catch the beauty of it with poor light. Haven't really had the chance to crank up the volume to try it out on its full potential but nice like the warmth and sustain in it so far, maybe I will look into my possibilities to post a sound clip for this one.
  20. The latest couple of weeks have been quite intense but know it's all most finished. got everything mounted and wired ? Still got some areas that need some more Polishing and some high frets I need to deal with. besides that I'm really pleased with how it turned out
  21. Welcome to the forum, That's a really nice set of guitars yout got there ☺
  22. You're right about that you don't want to rush through things like these. I haven't done almost no work at all on the heel area until today so I think the straight line you are referring to is gone by now ?
  23. Yeah my thought as well going to carve some more on the rear, the horns are to thick in my opinion at the moment. The pictures were taken right after I sealed the back and carve with CA so there are some areas that need some more sanding.
