    the bar in the neck is called a truss rod a neck is usually made of two parts ,the neck and fretboard(board that sits on top which you 'fret' the strings onto) to put the truss rod in you route your hole in the neck part then place the fretboard over the top there are also some necks which are 1 piece (basically, this can of course be multiple pieces of wood stuck together) in which case i'm pretty sure you would actually have to drill a VERY deep hole you're right about the truss tilting or 'bowing' the neck there are many people here who will be able to explain exactly how, why...etc it works trust me you've come to the right place!!!!!

    from my experience, those things don't really work ie. it doesn't come out understandable (this was for portuguese/english by the way)

    check out psycroptic they've got 2 albums out, the latest is AWESOME!! it should be easy to buy over the net, if it's not locally attainable they actually live in the same city i do, the drummer and guitarists dad tought me in high school, and my bands drummer is good friends with them and got lessons from the drummer in fact i'm pretty sure the snare used on the latest album actually belongs to my drummer! the guitarist and drummer(brothers) are what makes it, their skills are un****inbeleivable!!!!! move over vinny and dimebag!!!!

    metal heads not considering ibanez? as an ex metalhead....yes they do of course the main choices are jackson and bc rich but they're all in the same boat kindof ....except jackson who have been turned to the dark side and now work for fender!!!
