    it is rosewood and i think its just raw. it doesnt seem to reflect light like my other necks. i want it to be smooth and have a finish that wont scratch.

    What is the non conductive paint in the cavity called? some of the paint stripper seeped into the cavitys and took some off so i need to repaint it.

    a router wouldnt work because it would cut too deep and may wreck the cavity. I need a tool that had adjustible depth cutting.

    Im having problems in the finish of my fretboard. Its very dry and grainy and isnt smooth and easy to use like my squier strat. how can i overcome this problem still keeping the original look?

    really cool! will it be sold? if its called ignition guitars, there should be a signature item like an ignition key as a volume knob. just a thought

    What sander can i use to cut more out of the bridge cavity? my floyd rose doesnt fit and the spring holder hits the side and i need something to give it more space. it would be good if it doubled as a sander for the guitar.

    im going to go with ernie ball beefy because all the d addario strings are too light for me.

    Im currently on a tight budget and cant make any mistakes on purchases. i was wondering what is the best electric guitar strings for metal. Im interested in gauges that are bigger than regular so its easier to hit the string. I was thinking d addario or ernie balls.

    i came up with the design in english a few days ago based on a cape/bat wings. the one i designed is much more bigger and edgy. but it looks uncannyly like matts but i never even knew about his. in fact ive never even been to that thread. The color is pretty different because the one i designed has black edges that slowly fades (matts is a black line) and the wood is stained red with ununiform bits of black

    duuude that axe is wicked! I like how you cutomised some parts which you dont seen in many guitars. why didnt you make a wooden humbucker cover or painted the bridge to make it look like it was wood?

    that is the sickest guitar ive ever seen! if someone sold them i would buy one over a bc rich anyday. will the body edge be sharp like a real axe?

    I was wondering if a plastic emg style humbucker cover will effect the quality of the sound. Im not sure but think it may effect the output. BTW: for some reason whenever i post a topic it comes up with nothing in the thread.

    What theres already a BC RICH IMPALER??? nooooo my drawing was just a rough body design (not to scale). I didnt say it was a bc rich i just said it was designed for bc rich style. well ill call my guitar 'Vlad'. i might make it after i learn how and get money haha.

    there not that cheap TBH, it costs more than the guitar i have now. All i want is a seperate neck or headstock.

    oh what happened to my thread? I posted it and everything... ok well i designed a new BC Rich guitar called the Impaler, named after Vlad the Impaler (dracula) and i was modeled on the shape of his cape mixed with some bc rich style. It has a black messy stained body with dark red stained wood under. It has emgs, floyd setup, 1 tone and volume. What do you think of it?

    the fretboard is only a texture file for now and can be easily adjusted. th file is saved as a .z3d file and a full size version wouldnt be very good. its usually only used to get a look and different designs of a future guitar. If the guitar was cuz with these dimensions than the guitar wouldnt turn out rounded due to the polies. The guitars blueprints are pictures of the guitar and is modelled that way so should be pretty accurate.

    how much did that cost all together to build and refinish? you should be able to make a little profit.

    Ive been on ebay and simply couldnt find any bc rich widow headstocks or even any bc rich necks! Do they sell them or are all there guitars simply neck thru guitars?

    Hi im pretty good at using a program called zmodeler, which makes 3d models of things. I used to model cars for gta but am putting my skills to creating guitars. So far ive made my guitar and i will make yours if you want me to. Just tell me all the specs and ill make a 3d version for you. right now im only doing jackson RRs and flying vees. Im willing to start on my next model so just ask. here was my first model:

    ive decided to just sharpen the horns at the least and not doo much to it without having to move the cavity. i could route the input to the pickguard and use the space there. im still thinking of a design for the bottom half of the guitar, something sharp and bc rich/jackson style. @marksound - Why would John Mayall's use a Squier? wouldnt he at least use a fender
