  1. :o :o :o Ooooooooooooohhhhhhh ... now that sounds sweet!!!!! I'll definately get the info to you as soon as it comes in. I've never been one to turn down an upgrade! What do ya want for the eprom? 8) LJ
  2. "The squeeky wheel gets the grease" ... as the saying goes. Well, I guess my insessant and annoying bitching about my problems with my search and lack of funds impressed the rock gawds 'cause they have answered. Last night I secured off of E(vil)-bay germany the Digitech 2112 with Control One pedal board, cables and manual for a fair, if not exactly cheap, price. I had to sell one of my computers to get the final squirt of funds I needed and got it with 'buy now' without having to bid. It's funny too because I was bidding on the 2101 all this last week and got sniped at the last second last night. I rolled my eyes and scrunched up my face in consternation and frustration and began looking for another right off. Low and behold, I found this deal with 6 days to go and no bids as yet. It was already at a start bid that was more then I had but with the 'buy now' price at a little above that so I talked to a bud and he decided to help me out and bought my spare box outright with cash. Not bad for a bucket of bolts that doesn't even work (yes, he knows, he wants to scrap it for parts). So, now I have finally gotten the wonder of technology that I have been on a quest for for over 10 years. An era has ended for me and another is about to begin. Oh, but the best is yet to come folks! One of my co-workers started complaining about being one of the few non-musicians in our company and how much he'd like to learn to play guitar today. Well chit, I thought, I teach and have a spare guitar. I pitched it to him and he's buying my backup axe and gonna take lessons from me. He's buying my guitar for what was left of the price of the 2112. So I am buying this thing outright - no depts and no losses. Basically I'm only paying for in country shipping. It should be here next week sometime. Come on, do da snoopy dance wid meeeeeeeee!!! Just thought I'd share this with you guys since I annoyed you with this exact subject not too long ago. LJ
  3. Kevlar guitar body ........... BULLET PROOF!!!!!!!! War axe ... I like the sound of that ... very ... ummm ... 80's sounding ... LJ
  4. Well, I already knew about the URL not working but knew that was no bug - that's on purpous. But are colors also banned or offensive? LJ
  5. No color in the signatures anymore. Am I just being stooooopid? LJ
  6. Hey Brian, I don't know if it's a bug or if you did it on purpous but none of the formating in signatures works anymore (colors, etc.). Are we not allowed color anymore either? LJ
  7. Okee, With that clarification, it's back in, just not clickable. LJ
  8. Got the message, 'nuff said. The Whiplash Webdesigns link is officially out of my signature as of .... NOW! LJ
  9. A few years ago I built a 'roadie board'. What's a roadie board, you ask? It's a plate of wood fitted with shaped blocks to hold your guitar in place while you work on it/re-string it. I built mine out of an old cabinet door and some 'appropriated' building blocks from my kid's room. Been using it ever since. LJ
  10. Bookmark No muss, no fuss. LJ
  11. Just pokin' atcha bro, I'm talking stripping down to the bare wood for a fully new finish. I just thought since the DBK has a rather unique finish, it might be worthwhile for someone to write up a tutorial for it. No big deal, it was just a thought. ...and understand, I am not planning on doing this to MY DBK. It was just a thought that came to mind while I was reading through the material finishing tutorial. I have heard that few companies that have been asked would do it, or at a much higher price, because of how hard it is to do. I thought since you, Brian are so good at finding easy ways of doing things maybe you'd have some insight. Believe it or not, the tutorial isn't for me, I just thought it would go well with the others you're trying to collect. LJ
  12. Come on Bri, you can do better then that! A palm sander won't get into the pickup, trem or electronics cavities! But then, what should I expect from a guy who makes pick plates from plastic trash cans, eh? LJ
  13. I DO, but maybe I'll wanna do a graphic one of these days if I win the lottery. That VSBL with the airbrush as well as the material finishing tutorial sure got me thinking - black with some killer tribal graphic or something. If so, I'd need to strip it before hand. Also, seeing as how I am FAR from the only DBK owner on earth, it might be worthwhile to do a tutorial on it just in case someone else wants to refinish or modify one. Just a thought. LJ
  14. Anyone ever tried to strip a DBK? How'd you do it? What precautions did you take/need? Which way works bets, i.e. sanding, chemicals, heat? What tools did you use? This sounds like a tutorial that's needed since there's SO many DBKs out there now. Brian, up to the challenge? LJ
  15. Only thing I've ever modified on the guitars I've had were the electronics. I'm not much of a wood or metal guy (unless you count Heavy Metal ) LJ
  16. Kinda funny and wrong really - I'm not a guitar builder. HINT: www.google.com Just to be fair, I'll pass on any prizes. I'm just trynna help out, really. LJ
  17. I just sent you an e-mail but I'll cut and paste it here just in case you don't get it: <paste> Hi Borut, Hey, I just saw your thread at Project Guitar about your Digitech GSP 2112. I have been looking for a GSP 21xx for about 10 years now but could at first never afford it and now that they're long out of production it's even harder. Since I have a family and a rather low income I still can't afford to buy one but I saw that you are willing to trade for it. What are you looking for in trade? What can I offer you? A guitar? My blood? One of my kidneys? My first born son? LOL! Can you tell that I want this thing bad? Seriously though, I do have a guitar to trade for it if that's what you're looking for. Ibanez 450S (S-Series - Sabre Series): * Black finish with chrome hardware * Rosewood Fingerboard * H-S-H pickup configuration with a Bill Lawrence L 500 Dual Blade Lead Humbucker (Nuno Bettencourt, Dimebag Darrell) in the bridge position. * Specially customized (for optimal performance) TRS II Trem * Extra Pickup switch that combines the signals of the outer two humbuckers (the one position not available with the 5-way switch) * Extra 'kill-switch' push button for that 'wah -- wah -- wah --' sound ala Randy Rhoads or Eddie Van Halen. * Schaller strap locks Picture: http://www.lord-jereth.com/Equipment.html And to sweeten the pot for you I'll even throw in an extra Dimarzio Breed bridge pickup just in case you don't like the sound of the L 500. How's that for a trade? Or maybe you're looking to have all your effects on the ground instead of in a rack? How's this: Digitech RP10 - Full range Guitar FX unit, Preamp, Midi foot controler. It's sort of like the 2112 but on the floor instead of in a rack. Picture: http://www.lord-jereth.com/Equipment.html Or maybe you need a full web site done? Example: http://www.lgm-guitars.com I hope to hear from you very soon, Patrick Deno, Lord_Jereth@lord-jereth.com </paste> So what do you think? LJ
  18. Ummm ummm ummm ... LOL ... this is too surreal! I live in Germany so the European connection wouldn't bother me a bit ... I don't have the money you'd want for it but what do you want in trade for the Digitech 2112??????? Why is this surreal, you ask? Dig this: http://projectguitar.ibforums.com/index.ph...abc0b49d39ba1a7 LJ
  19. I don't think this qualifies but it is a cool link regardless. http://www.guitargeek.com/ These SHOULD qualify though: http://luth.org/ http://www.lmii.com/ http://www.guitar.com/ http://www.timelessinstruments.com/ http://www.allenguitar.com/supply.htm http://pweb.jps.net/~kmatsu/ http://www.cumpiano.com/Home/Classes/Roset...williamson.html http://www.linksmanager.com/guitarnoise/links12.html http://www.ukuleles.com/Technology/JGA.html http://www.sffi.org/RHhome.htm http://www.soundtoearth.com/vguitar.htm http://falcon.jmu.edu/~dehartcg/hobby.htm At least some of these should be useful. ... BTW, I don't really need Bobbin Toppers .. I got black PUPs and that fits me fine. I only have black guitars anyway and just about any other color would look really strange. Black and chrome, them's my ladies LJ
  20. I voted for the small tips since I'm not much of a guitar builder. But I'd love to see small DIY projects. LJ
  21. http://projectguitar.ibforums.com/index.ph...24a82987622fc76 <--- get some ideas here and in the following link. http://www.lord-jereth.com/Test.html <-- my Flash test page. The ones I have done so far are still on there. LJ
  22. I so phuqing hate it when skript kiddies make it hard for the rest of us to enjoy the experience. I can understand the problems Brian and it's kewl. I'll just post addresses to stuff if I wanna show it off. <edit>I cut the rant - off topic - will put it in correct thread </edit> Thanks for checking up on it though, Brian. LJ
  23. Kewlies, thanks Brian. He he he, I can't wait. I can see it now ... a whole forum with Flash AVs ... woohoo! LJ
