  2. Awesome! I really like the shape of this one =D
  3. I think it looks pretty cool actually =D (your kitchen tops and the guitar top)
  4. looks great! P.S is you're work bench wenge or is it just me?!
  5. +1 Also great builds PTModIT and also a great reason behind them!
  6. Who knows might look great once its all shaped! Still looks cool though and i like the wood choices =D
  7. Headstock is not for me as well but otherwise looks great! Keep up the good work =D
  8. Looks awesome! As usual can't wait to see the progress on your builds =D
  9. Ha, i think I'll steer clear of fireplace mantles thanks. Strangely there are a few people in the U.K you can get wood from they are just hard to find.
  10. I'd have no idea as to how to find that out. What I can say is that it came from TH&H Hardwood in San Diego (http://www.th-h.com/), and everything appears to have been sufficiently kiln dried. They stock expensive stuff too, up to $30-40/board foot. But they sell the Khaya cheap, and the guys there really seem to know their stuff. Wish i could get wood that cheap
  11. definitely better than wasting the off-cuts =D
  12. Nice build but i would try work out a way to play it backwards because the back is so pretty =D
  13. I was actually going to carve the back of my basses headstock but never considered carving the front. Btw nice build blinkknot =D
  14. Machine heads aren't for me but it does look AMAZING!
  15. Wow the Mac Ebony and Acrylic impregnated Spalted Maple look amazing
  16. Wow that neck blank looks awesome and the body design is definitely on of the best I've seen in my opinion.
  17. All depends really probably just maple again but I'm open to most anything in the right size. Measurements: 45" long X 3" wide X 1-2" deep 1" would be if i do a scarf and laminate a maple off cut i have to the back of the neck where it goes through the body.
  18. Ok so its been a very long time but i finally have money again to redo the neck on my bass (as it twisted). Picture to refresh everyones memory: Now that i have the money i need some help with finding some new wood for the neck and fretboard. So i was hoping you guys could suggest some places in the U.K or that will post to the U.K without costing to much. I want to avoid paypal if possible =D Thanks, Travis
