    Clean Amps?

Yeah Fenders arnt too bad for price, eBay tends to bloat things beyond their worth. at the moment im playing an 'Aslin Dane' ive never heard of anyone using them before but it sounds pretty sweet with my tokai LP through it. only problem is its 20watts. a little small for competeing with drums! Ill look into mesa boogie.

    Clean Amps?

thanks for the help so far. my budget is probably around £3-400 around 65 watts or something? Small enough to practice with but big enough to get some decent volume for small venues. Ive played a lot with a Vox AC30 but the whole design of it and the controls annoy me to no end. even though the sound is quite nice. plugging an sm58 in for playing harmonica sounded poor. i guess they arnt really vocal amps. would rolland be a good option for use with a mike/guitar?

    Clean Amps?

Looking to buy a decent size clean amp anyone recommend a good one? im thinking fender right now as ive played a few and they sound sweet.
  5. yeah right now the tone sounds great! i dont know how much changing the stop tail did that but its good. the tuning seems to hold well as long as you dont go mad. although sometimes you get that string tweak like when you are tuning. ill see how it goes it feels quite smooth.
  6. so its christmas and i got the les trem! took just over 24 hours to get here, stew mac is great. then i just thought is it vital to have a roller TOM bridge?
  7. Hi this has probably been posted before but I was wondering if any of you could recommend a good book for building electric guitars. I was looking at this one: Building Electric guitars Martin Koch thanks.
  8. yeah thanks guys.. id have to do top work as well. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v40/fabg...ngprogress4.jpg looks like the les trem would be cheapest and easiest... aaaaaahh cant decide. i might pop into my local guitar shop and see what they have.
  9. yeah got that bit whats T-O-M?? thanks for all the help. looks like i might go for the les trem. i dont really want to drill into my guitar!
  10. roller saddles , help it stay in tune? wats T-O-M ?
  11. hmm you're probably right, but i am starting to like the 'les trem' on stewmac. they are very easy to fit. do B7s require body work? im looking at more like £100 for a gold B7.
  12. Thanks guys, bigsbys defo look better! A B5 on a les paul? ive been led to believe that they only fit flat top guitars. :S I might pop into a guitar shop and ask them. The B7 looks like a good idea because there is a hole for the straplock to fit through. Im looking to not have to do any body work on my guitar!
  13. Hi there, I have a Les Paul Black beauty, and i want to get a bigsby to match! Ive been doing some research and they're quite expensive especialy in England. I think its the B7 that fits les pauls best? Also i have straplocks on. Any good cheaper copies maybe you use? Any advice or experiences would be useful. cheers
  14. Godin your guitar is beautiful. i want one! i was very interested by the 'breadcaster' ..
  15. great job so far. Nice shape. wood looks sweet. can we get some pics of the neck ?
  16. Im not a fan of quilt but that is just amazing. it looks sweet. Nice job...
  17. yeah that headstock is great. i like the reverse one also.. careful you dont impale the amp when ur knob tweaking...
  18. Latest plan for a body: The Necks are finished, but i havnt dyed them or anything Im open to opinions!
  19. for you anyway. Their first two albums are amazing. i love them to bits
  20. yeah to be honest i dont like the body of the parallel one, it was just a plan ages ago, i was just deciding which neck alignment to go with. cheerz
  21. Hi guys, im making a doubleneck mandoguitar, as the guitarist has dropped out of my country band ..and i wanted to make one! those are two rough designs, angled and parralel necks, ...any opinions? here is the mando neck as it is now, aussie oak and jarrah fretboard http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h287/Luc...henry-neck1.jpg http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h287/Luc...henry-neck2.jpg The guitar neck is a blank strat neck, and i have the electrics from a strat. Im looking for a piece of maple to bookmatch for a one piece body. hope i havnt broken any photo posting rules... tell me what you think!
  22. heres mine: wah > ovrd > vol pedal > delay think its worth making a board for this few?... i might be getting a few more
  23. cherz do they make them with english plugs?
  24. I have amassed a large number of pedals now, all of which run on 9v .... and those square batteries are too expensive to buy. Last night i left the jacks in my new delay pedal and it ran a £5 battery flat overnight. What do you guys with boards do? would it be a good idea to get a large adaptor with power to all of them?

    Wax?

i want to remove the white plastic strat pup covers, so i can just have all 6 pup heads to go through their own holes in the top wood of the guitar.
