  1. Well the way I read it it seemed like he had an atitude. Sorry.
  2. ^ it is a steal for sure, I just wanted to see what other options I had in terms of money. I Lready thought of the other options people stated, so they didnt help at all. DOnt know why everyone has to have an atitude about it for though? Oh well.
  3. if PRS made the guitar I wanted I'd buy it, thanks so much for the help.
  4. ALright i have this idea for my dream guitar, here ar ethe specs... PRS 24 copy neckthrough, all mohogany body, including the top, and mohogany neck ebony fretboard with prs bird inlays I want a tuneomatic with strings through body, I want the tuneomatic screwed to the body, kind of like the way carvin does it. Now I got a quote from a builder and he said it'd cost around 2500, I was wondering would anyone here, do it for less? Or does any one know a place that would? I'd like to consider as many options as possible. Thanks!
  5. haha this one looks great too man! you should give me one of these when you're done, I mean, you only need to many 7 string, right, right? lol
  6. personaly, I'd go with the tuneomatic or hipshot, but thats because I'm not a big fan of trems. at least floyd styled ones. Never have had the opritunity to try a kahler though. anyways, I saw a double cut away lp with a zebra wood top, and it looked great, so theres an idea. Your idea sounds pretty bad ass too though. by the way I was wondering what is that in your avatar?
  7. yes there are. I love that shape brian, your 8 string verson inspired me to design my own 8 string, great looking. oh yeah, if you wanted a locking trem you'd have to go with a floyd or ibanez or something, kahler doesnt make 7 string trems (unfortunetly), unless you get it custom made.
  8. looks awesome, I would have used a stcked knob, to keep it cleaner looking, I never liked having two knobs with a guitar that has one pick up, but thats just personal tatse, your guitar looks amazing so far, good work man!
  9. hey thanks guys, um how would I go about hooking up a guitar to a pc?
  10. I need something to record tracks with, on my pc, I borrowed a 4 track tape recorder from a friend but its not cutting it. I figured I'd ask you guys. Something free, or on the cheaper side of the spectrum would be nice.
  11. thanks for all the suggestions everyone. eh it sucks having so many ideas and no money lol, I need a ****ing job.
  12. yeah kelly's are nice. Hopefully I'll be able to just build what I want, soon.
  13. Yeah I was looking at Hamers, but like epiphones, I just donw like the rounded bouts on the explorer styled guitars, it makes it look retarded in my opinion. Nothings wrong with bolt on necks, I'd just prefer a neck though or even a set neck.
  14. Yeah if I can get the material I'll build one. But my father is being an ass about building a guitar (my parents offered to buy me something because I got good grades this year) so if I can get him to say yes, than **** buying one, I'll definetly buid it.
  15. Well I want a new guitar, and I dont know what to get. I really want an explorer shaped guitar, the top contender right now is a Kramer Imperial, although I'm not to fond of the fact that its a bolt on, and I'd rather have a mahogony bodied guitar, but I like the way it looks, the price is great, and from what I've read its actually a really kick ass guitar. But does anyone know of any other explorer styled guitars? If I could I'd just get a gibson, but I cant afford one, so I'm looking for alternatives, pretty much as long as its a nice solid guitar, because I can always change out tuners pups and bridges. I've found that epiphone explorers are a bit to rounded at the edges and esp exs are a bit much, they're cool, but somthing about them always looked... off center maybe? So any help will be apreicated, an explorer styled guitar for a god price is pretty much what I'm looking for, even a rhoads style guitar too, as long as it doesnt have a floyd or any trem for that matter.
