  1. scratch that i just looked again.. the crack is in the shape of an arch.. from the first fret bar all the way up to the top of the locking nuts... then back down to the fret bar again on the other side. I tried some gorrilla glue and brushing glue to the inside of the crack as much as i could and clamped it down. I'll have pictures up soon. Right now its covered in glue. Hopefully this works
  2. My Ibanez S series neck has been cracked for quite some time. Last night my golden retriever burst into the house and knocked her over. Needless to say the crack expanded quite nicely and I would like to repair it. I read the tutorial on the main site.. says i need to break the headstock the rest of the way off... But my problem is as follows. The neck is cracked on the side of the Floyd Rose Locking Nut. But not ABOVE the nut.. BELOW the nut. So the only way i can see to break the headstock off is to break the fretboard as well.... which i do NOT want to do. Is there anyway to break this without breaking the fretboard at the 2nd fret as well? Any help is very greatly appreciated in advance... if pictures are needed i will post some as well. Thanks- Jonny.

  6. It looks like a promising build.. somewhat reminds me of THIS guitar.

  8. Very nice looking! I love the wood you are using for a fretboard, that will be AWESOME

  10. That neck laminate is sweeeeet. I think a stain on the neck would be AWESOME to show that nice lamination you used.

  12. Okay so i have LO TRS trem in my ibanez ex370Fm and i am sick of changing strings because of the saddle blocks... is there a way to fit in the locking screws that are tapered to hold the strings in place so i can do this? i prefer it that way and my ibanez S has a trem system with the tapered screws. any help appreciated as always. -Jon
  13. I like the kahler bridges, i'm just more used to the floyd rose. If it's a matter of you building a guitar i'd put a kahler in just for difference.
  14. Okay man, here's my input i tried spraying some finishes on a project strat guitar with spray paint and rub on wood finishes. The wood finishes turned out better and the spray paint took FOREVER to dry completely... it can take up to weeks for spray paint to settle in completely on wood. So if you can check out stew-mac i think they got some rub on color finishes that would do good for you, then again im a noob too so my info might not be the best to listen to
  15. I see all these Jem's with diff color bobbin toppers in bright green and what not. It's making me want to put some white ones on my black ibanez only one problem.. don't have any clue on how to take the old bobbin toppers offf. any help would be appreciated.
  16. Radioshack has 15-30 watts for 7 bucks right now, i picked one up the other day and it comes with a decent amount of solder and a few tools. Although not very good quality will work for what you're trying to do. I have a weller 100 watt that somehow broke on me the other day so i had to go and grab a cheapo to repair my amp.
