  1. Apparently not. I think the host of my blog have changed their name. When I have time, I'll upload everything on photobucket instead.
  2. okay! I guess it'll be the colour you had on your testpiece. It's going to look awesome!
  3. Nice! Any updates on the body?
  4. Make sure you use hard woods (not hardwoods, but hard hardwoods) if it's going to be fretless. Bass string are very abrasive.
  5. I'm building a guitar from birch, and with that I mean that every piece of wood is birch. So I can give a wood review once it's finished. One thing I can say is that it chews routerbits like candy. A new bit can't be used long at all before it needs replacement.
  6. Yes, the neck will be chunky! From what I've heard, most fingerboards are around 6mm thick. Could be wrong though, but from what I have measured on my guitars, it's around 6mm.
  7. The headstock reminds me a lot of Blackmachine's headstocks, but they have even less material in that area, and it seems to work for them.
  8. Awesome guitars! They look very solid and well built. As an Explorer geek, I have to say that I'm loving that Explorer! Looks really awesome. The Roswell was a bit odd though...cool, but odd...
  9. Which pickups are you using? Obviously a Seymour Duncan in bridge, but which model is it?
  10. It's looking great! The carve on the body gives it a unique and interesting look.
  11. Beautiful guitar! I really like the body shape, and the finish looks great!
  12. Checked out the sound clips on your site, and the Strandberger did sound better than the Floyd! For the right price, one of those for a 7-string would be awesome
  13. Nice, but the body was a bit slim
  14. I can say that I'd be interested. Seems like a good design. Soon you'll have no option but to start producing these and put them on the market
  15. Yeah, the first neck I made just wouldn't have worked out. I've got to try to laminate a headstock myself sometime, but I can imagine that it's pretty hard.
  16. Can't help you with a lot of your problems, just one. You don't need a template bit. Buy a bit with the same diameter on the shaft and the cutting part of the bit (I use one with a 1/4" shaft and 1/4" cutting diameter). You'll need to cut a little faster to avoid ruining the template. If you start out with maybe a 12mm bit, or maybe even drilling out all the excess, this method works fine.
  17. Haha true! But since this will be dried for such a long time, most of it will be flat. I'll get some pieces quartered though.
  18. Stunningly beautiful done! If Ed doesn't want it, I wouldn't care that it says Ed on the fingerboard
  19. Roger said that he and a friend of his is going to cut some wood in a week or two, and my log will be cut together with their stuff. Until then, it'll probably be stored at my girlfriends house. So I'll be back with the pics when it's cut.
  20. Okay! So you're going to paint over the maple?
