  1. Warmoth Pin-Strip Scroll down till you find it. It's there!
  2. I'm not really comfortable with building one. Tools kind of scare me. Computers don't. This is why I am so interested in CNC. If your comfortable with building this device and feel you can build one well enough to build guitars why don't you see if you can build one for me? I'll pay you of course. It must be well built though, since I am sure you can not offer a warranty. I'm sure that the plans forbid you from selling this product, so I will buy the plans from them and commission you to do the work. Interested?
  3. O.K. Yeah your right. I got real excited when I saw it and thought, "OOh.... now that is what I have been lookin' for". I didn't read the full specs I was so excited. Anywhoo.... I mailed the company and asked if this unit could be enlarged. They said no, but that they are a distributor of another table I might be interested in Max NC
  4. $3000.00 for a duplicarver? How about this for $3000.00? Cheap CNC Router
  5. Has this already been mentioned? Cheap CNC Router
  6. Thanks rhoads56! That was the answer I was lookin' for.
  7. Taken from the end of that tutorial: I would like to avoid this at all costs. Nowhere in that tutorial does it go into dyeing or finishing. Thanks for forwarding it though! I really hope your not interpreting me as arrogant. I mean no harm. I am just looking for answers that are not exactly spelled out. This is my first guitar body (I think I have done a smashing job, so far) and I just don't want to ruin it. Any other tutorials you can think of might help. The answers I am looking for just might be in there.
  8. I wouldn't call myself totally incompetent (LOL). I just wish to reduce my chances for failure. If dyeing the veneer prior to gluing it is possible then my chances of ruining the body or creating extra work for myself are reduced by 50%. So since you work with "fancy veneers" for a living... Is this possible? Damn we are up late
  9. I have read several. Which one are you referring to? I would like to read it as well.
  10. Maybe this has been covered (no pun intended), but I can't find it anywhere. So, here we go.... I have read that after successfully applying a veneer to a wood surface you may still run the risk of having it peel or bubble from the that surface after dyeing or finishing it. Is it possible to (at least) do the dyeing (to bring out the flame) and letting it dry before actually adhering it to the body? I am deathly paranoid of wrecking an excellent body I have lying around. Thoughts? Questions? Comments?
  11. Anti-Nodes? How come nobody mentions the Uncle-Nodes?
  12. I have used it and it is wicked. I also really dig Orange Glo. I wish had some before and after pictures. I could charge for the magic it performs on Rosewood.
  13. I am looking to route the surface of my Tele to accommodate 2 Danelectro Lipstick pickups. The guitar does not have a pick-guard and is totally rear control routed. I have not purchased them yet because I am not sure if I will be able to mount them without a pick-guard. Does anyone know the dimensions of the pickup or whether this will be possible? I do not wish to destroy the beauty of my guitar with a pick-guard. ~Thanks
