i got told my some one 'the best wood you can make a guitar out of is marine ply, all hard woods will bow!' is this true?!?

so i've got this fixed strat type bridge, how far away has it got to be form the 12th fret? (my neck is 21 frets if that helps!)

personally, i think a bolt on neck is much easier, and cheaper!!! it'll cost you loads less to make a bolt on neck!!

i was chatting to a guy in the pub last night and he said somethimg about the bridge on guitars is put on at an angle, not straight! is this true and if so what angle do i need to put my bridge at?!!?

i was just wondering how cheap is the cheapest guitar you've seen, not on e-bay or anything like that, just in a shop or on a web site, i saw a whole package, guitar, crappy amp and some other stuff for £65 earlier!!

yes, i do plan on leaving a center strip! if i just have one f hole in the top of the front of the guitar will i need to drill/cut a small bit through the center strip to join up the two routered out bits?!

k, i've got an electric guitar and i wanna hollow out the body, can i router off the front and back of it, hollow it out then just replace the front and back with a sheet of maple (with f holes in it?!) will this work and sound okay?!?!
