  1. Okay.I was thinking that www.specialtyhardwoods.com was the same place.
  2. I just got in a bridge from ebay.It was a hardtail strat style.I have a couple, but they are all string through body. This loads through the back. Would this bridge lack tone or a little thin in comparison to the string through? Just wonderin
  3. Thanks.I think I'm going up there next week. Did you see the Crotch Mahogany they have.I likey. Dylan, they're in Dartmouth Nova Scotia What happened to their website?I used to find it.I think it was their site anyway.
  4. I'm from Yarmouth and can't find anything other than Mahogany. What are the prices for Basswood and Ash?
  5. I've had my two humbuckers hooked to a toggle and then straight to the input. No pots.If I was going to use a pot, wouldn't a 1meg pot be closer in tone to wiring them hot to input?
  6. okay. That makes a lot more sense. So I could use some binding tape? That looks great! Thanks.
  7. Yeah,I'm thinking of doing the sides.I just got done lightly steaming a piece and it was no problem to bend it.Now,should I keep it on place to dry before I glue? I just use the sandbag method, except pushing against the sides instead of on top.
  8. I can easily get it around the top.My problem is the bottom horn. It's almost a 180.Is it possible? If I steamed it a bit wouldn't it get out of shape?
  9. Yep thats the place.Are those good prices?There US$
  10. I just thought I'd let everyone know about Delorene.com in BC. They have some nice veneers and some Spalted veneer. Check it out. I ordered some quilt veneer and some Spalted.Should be nice.
  11. Sorry.I messed up.I have a drill press and a radiused caul insert.I meant the thing that holds the caul. Could I just weld the brass caul to a steel shaft?
  12. Has anyone ever made their own fret arbor or would it be easier to just buy one?I have cauls just not the arbor.
  13. Thanks.Oops thought I put it on tools section. Can this be moved ?
  14. Has anyone tryed those piloted router bits? They don't have a ball bearing. So I was wondering how they don't scuff up your sides while the bit is turning. My first binding,so i don't know if I should buy one of those or just go with the ball bearing bit. Thanks
  15. Van who?Really though. That list is getting old.Im a metal head, but,I'd choose Don Ross over those dudes
  16. I like those normal Davas(best picks period).I noticed they make metal tipped ones now.Has any1 tried those or any other metal pick? PS normal Davas will improve your pickin no matter your style or level
  17. I appreciate "cheap guitars" like Bc Rich.It did me fine for years. It was better than going without and depends on your style. I don't think the $5000 guitar sounds $4500 better than the $500 BC Rich.Just me. Rather have a nice amp and electronics PS. if I had the money I would of course buy a "better"guitar.IF I HAD THE MONEY.
  18. I have an on off on toggle. It has 6 hook ups.Im not using an input,I just want to hook straight to cord. All I keep getting is on all the time.Im only hooking up 1 for now. It's always on.Bare with me,I've never wired anything up b4 I need a neckpickup workin please and thanks My neck pu has hot ground my bridge has 2 grounds and hot
  19. Are those stew Mac hardtail non tremelo made to be used with or without an f spaced hum?
  20. I say SRV would be my pick. Tony Iommi would be the most ahead of his time. Every1 knows ozzy, because of Tonys riffs. Every1 is still copying T O. Maybe I change to Tony
  21. Instead of a new thread. I was going to wrap the sides of a cherry tele with veneer? Is that possible? If I did bend some other 1/16 wood for the sides would I use the guitar body as my mold or do I use something else? thanks
  22. I just tryed out a new m214k and I was surprised at how they sounded.I feel for a budget hum it is surely worth the $(35).It does lack a little warmth in my vintage mode on my effects, but i bought it almost exclusively for chugging away on heavy rythyms. My ears aren't too picky.Any1 else have any comments on these.
