Tim37
Today I was at Gc and I picked up a faded sg off the used rack. It played fine felt great but the fit/finish on the side of thé neck didn't seem just right. I'm wondering if any one had run across a fake faded sg. If I was a counterfeiter I wouldn't be repoping the low end version but ya never know. Every thing Else looks right but I'm not a huge Gibson guy I would know a litte more about if it was a strat. It is a used and well played guitar and ya never know what a previous owner did.
westhemann
The faded ones are the lowest of Gibson's low end...
Tim37
Yeah that's why I wouldn't think anyone would go through the trouble of counterfeiting one. Why make a counterfeit 5 when its just as easy t make a 20 right.
WezV
they are the lowest of the standard range, not the lowest of the low - that honour goes to the current melody maker range some of the faded guitars are pretty nice, but they are gibsons so the quality is very inconsistent
