Day of birth Precision bass build

Well, this is it, pretty much finished now!

I made a bone nut, put on some flatwounds and after a little bit of fettling, I christened it with a quick blast through "One Step Beyond"

I have to compliment Musikraft on their necks, beautifully made, this one is an absolute beast, the fattest option they offer, which suits the size of my hands perfectly, and yet it's still comfortable to play, and it needed very little truss rod tweaking.

I have tried to take some gratuitous, arty shots, but it's not really one of my strong points, so I'm sorry about the quality.

Well, she really looks like I hope you do. I mean, perfectly functional with some marks of a fully lived life and some subtler hints about being on the second half when viewed closely.

I can see 17 distinct types of "hell yeah" there.  love it top to bottom.

More hardware to finish off the body.

Strap buttons, neck plate and I was lucky enough to find an aluminium pickguard shield on Ebay Germany which has saved on yet more import taxes as they don't seem to be available in the UK

Next challenge is the aluminium pickguard shield.

The red lettering on the back appears to say 'ALCLAD' but I can't make out what the rest of it says so I will probably just copy the lettering verbatim

Hi, just to add, lovely build and that Kaiser in So Cal made the Aluminium shielding that Fender used to produce all the various plates. Iv'e got them on all my vintage '60's models.  Fender workers would add pencil scribbles to the plates also.  All the best, Kev
