darren wilson Posted September 25, 2004 Report Share Posted September 25, 2004 The ZW kit is designed to be a straight replacement if you have a Les Paul, and includes the pickups and all the controls you'll need. But if you just want the core sound Zakk gets, put an 85 in the neck and an 81 in the bridge. But since your Jackson is different in just about every other way from a Les Paul, don't expect miracles. Maiden69 Posted September 26, 2004 Report Share Posted September 26, 2004 Wes, maybe the booklet I got from guitarpartsdepot was different because it had the 1 vol w/ 3 way switch on it, and then it had an Les Paul only 2 fold page with the 2 different type of wiring for the LPs. I used the one for 1 vol to set up the guitar that I'm making now. Nad I thought that I was that only one, but as I can see G_urr_A had the same problem, EMG redid the site and I can't find all the diagrams that the had once up there.
