gw_guitars
Hi Everybody, Anybody ever painted the plastic of a (humbucker) pickup? Why would you do that, you might ask. The answer is simple. The pickups are beige (smokey white) and I want them black. I don't want to buy new ones. Any suggestions? Gerard
Scott Rosenberger
I think LGM has done it you might try asking him or having a moderator post this in the finishing section.
Brian
I've done it with acrylic artist paints and a brush to some success, then again I made a design on them then cleared over with standar spray clear.

Speedy McFeely
i painted the pick-ups in one of my guitars wth Testors model paint. be forewarned it takes a long time to make it look good and flat, plus a very fin grit sand paper is a must to get it all level. i think it would be better to use an aerosol.
