Strat Almost Done...

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, for my first project I decided to assemble a guitar rather than build one. And so several months and several hundred dollars later I am one gold tremelo and one gold neckplate away from a finished guitar.

Here are the specs...

All genuine Fender Parts...

1998 MIM Neck

1996 MIA Body

3-Ply Red Tortoise Pickguard

Texas Specials

Schaller Straplocks (Not Shown)

All Gold Hardware

Very nice :D reminds me of my '99 roadhouse. Very similar, and I like the texas specials very much. I got mine secondhand from a great guy whos a collector and gave me a great price, how much did you pay for all of your parts (just wondering)

Thanks

Whats up with the rosewood by the first fret? Is it wear or just its nature?

That actually is the grain of the rosewood.

What type of wood is the body made of?

I believe the body is alder, it's one solid piece too.

how much did you pay for all of your parts?

So far I'm up to $773 Canadian :D including all S&H and Duties.
