PLUCKyou
i have access to a CNC mill at school and was wondering if it would be worth it to cut slots for frets on there or should i just use a gentlemen's saw to do that kind of work... jer7440
If you do a good job of the setup the cnc will give you perfectly spaced fret slots. It's an awfully small cutter though.
Devon Headen
Unless your school already has a cutter small enough, it probably won't be worth it.
spyykko
I'd try to make some sort of scale template with NC mill and saw the slots by hand according to that template
PLUCKyou
well i can get a bit small enough but i think i'm just gonna go the old fashion way... thanks
KeithHowell
You need to have your CNC take a circular saw type blade with the right curf size: usually 0.6mm If you are cutting more than one board a day it is worth doing. Yesterday between two of us we cut 15 boards by hand and we were both knackered afterwards. I can't wait to get a CNC up and running again!
