AlGeeEater Posted April 13, 2005 Report Posted April 13, 2005 (edited) Well, what do i do? Heres some pics. Im kinda stumped on it. bluespresence Posted April 13, 2005 Report Posted April 13, 2005 My guess would be to rout out a slot about 1 to 1-1/2" wide and deep and fit in a piece of wood (glued in of course). Go from trem hole to HB hole (left to right in your pic). Since it's painted once you redrill it for the stud and refinish it nobody would ever notice. Make sense?? Quote
MetalMan Posted April 13, 2005 Report Posted April 13, 2005 One of my Kramers did that, not that bad i don't think, hard to tell for me. I drilled mine out and glued in a dowl. Not sure if that would work for you though. Quote

If refinishing is not an option. Finish the break. Glue it back in. Redrill an oversized hole (not too big but big enough to be covered by the trem) Then put a large plug in. Then redrill to proper size for the stud. Hope that made sense. Quote
crafty Posted April 13, 2005 Report Posted April 13, 2005 Fill the hole with sawdust and CA, then wrap the whole guitar in carbon fiber mat. Apply resin, then autoclave for 20 minutes. Presto! Problem solved. Quote
thedoctor Posted April 13, 2005 Report Posted April 13, 2005 Boy, that sucks large!! I would be tempted to make a metal plate to go across both pins and put 6 screws in the top of it. Probly don't have the hieght to do it. What you call a bad break! Quote
AlGeeEater Posted April 14, 2005 Author Report Posted April 14, 2005 Hm, yes BP, that does make sense! Actually, i may use a standard strat trem on here with 6 screws, so either way im going to have to do something with the holes. Plus i will be refinishing it, so its ok. He wants all gold hardware Quote
