Setch Posted April 28, 2005 Report Share Posted April 28, 2005 I'd recommend you sell it and buy a black guitar. That's a high end guitar, and refinishing it will massively reduce the value, not to mention being a fiddly, time consumning task - especially for an inexperienced finisher. Even if it is a Hamer import you can't really want to cover up all that beautiful quilt and abalone.......can you??? I'll trade you a black guitar of similar value if you want............. I have personally blacked three Hamers and one is so nice I bought it from the customer. If he wants black but has burst, so be it. Let the man paint. Proceed to the refinishing posts. IMHO.
