Pr3Va1L
Hey there, i was wondering on the effects of a cap on a neckthrough guitar... i want to keep the glue at a strict minimum and the guitar is a TOM string through for sustain and sound reasons... i want to make it look good... but i don't want to do that at the expense of sound. so: will capping the wings scrap some of the sound? what about capping the whole thing? (over the neck-through) if that's bad, where could i get 1.5'' thick quilt maple wings for cheap? (that could ship to canada too...) should i even use maple? or just something else? If it's ugly i'll probably finish it in a plain color thanks a lot!

Devon Headen
In other words it's fine. As for cheap quilt maple (especially 1.5" thick!), that doesn't exist.
