b5111987 Posted July 9, 2005 Report Posted July 9, 2005 anyone know of any pedals with a true bypass as im wanting one in my guitar and i need one with true bypass Quote
lovekraft Posted July 10, 2005 Report Posted July 10, 2005 You can wire anything for "true bypass" - it's not anything you have to design into the circuit, it's simply one way to hook up the switch when you install it in your guitar. Pick a circuit that does what you want it to, and I'll show you how to wire it. No charge! Quote
Primal Posted July 12, 2005 Report Posted July 12, 2005 GeoFX (anyone know if the site is back up yet?) has a VERY simple circuit for doing true bypassing with a switch that doesn't support true bypassing (SPDT I believe). It is something that could be easily done if you can't find a suitable switch or a pedal with true bypassing. Quote
lovekraft Posted July 12, 2005 Report Posted July 12, 2005 All you need for true bypass is a DPDT switch. For that matter, if you use a buffer before the F/X circuit, true bypass won't make any difference anyway. Like improved and fat-free, true bypass means little or nothing without context, except as a marketing tool. Quote
