Hofner Bass Plans

Well I looking for anything on Hofner 500/1 violin bass (Beatle Bass).

Any plans, blue prints would help.

Does anyone know how they´re build, I figure they use a solid peace of wood for the body and make it into a hollow body.

I appreciate any help.

I was looking at building a Hofner-esque bass at one time and did a huge search for plans. I didn't come up with any plans, but I found quite a few links that gave me an idea of how they were made. The only two that I went back to repeatedly were:

I still haven't decided if I'm going through with the Hofner build or if another guitar is next. But post anything that you find, especially plans, I'd love to see those.
