erikbojerik
I'm in the market for a beater Gibson Les Paul, because I want one to do a re-top. Don't ask why... Here's what I need: -Must be a Gibson -No copies, replicas, Epiphones or Orvilles -No Juniors or Specials; need a full-sized body -No Smartwoods, I need a mahogany or walnut body -No dot-necks or mini-trapezoid inlays -No paint jobs, back & neck must have a transparent finish (preferably cherry) -No broken or cracked headstocks Dings, scratches & gouges in the top or back are fine, don't want too many in the neck. Like I said, I'm going to remove the top and add my own, then refinish the whole works. I'd love to get a Gibson case with this. I'm not going to spend more than US$550. Which means I probably won't get much action... But PM me anyway if you're in the ballpark.

GodBlessTexas
You just missed one on eBay that went pretty cheap. Needed some real TLC, and the top had been butchered, so it would have been great for a retop. It ended last week. Remember the Alamo, and God Bless Texas... erikbojerik
OK, game over. I scored a '93 LP Studio (trans red wine) for $600 with case. It is used but not beat by any means, makes my job a bit easier. This one will disappear into the basement for a year or two, eventually to re-surface with a new surface. Thread closed until then!
